Blink Twice viewers claim the movie reflects the grim reality of some of P Diddy’s parties.
The film was Zoe Kravitz’s directing debut and followed the tale of a tech billionaire flying out beautiful women to his remote private island where he drugged and sexually abused them.
Following the arrest of P Diddy earlier this month for sex trafficking charges, fans have been comparing the parallels between the allegations the rapper is facing and the movie plot.

During the film, the women are dressed in all white, which fans argue could be mimicking Diddy’s infamous White Parties, some of which have also been coined as ‘Freak Offs’.
Fans have been sharing their thoughts online about the similarities between the accusations which Diddy currently vehemently denies, and the film.
One film fan wrote on a Reddit thread: “Now to talk about this movie and P Diddy, well, for many years it has been known and this is public knowledge that P. Diddy threw parties that lasted several days, and these parties were like something everyone knew about but no one talked about, no one talked about what was going on inside these parties, however many artists in past years made slight references in songs, lyrics, some phrase in an interview about where the threads were going in these parties but apparently the population was not very awake to understand the references.”
In the same thread, a second added: “Lots of parallels to Diddy btw… The fact that the whole idea of the film is about the abuse of power. Art imitates life ya’ll….
Another penned: “I was watching in the POV of what we know now of Diddy and Epstein. I do believe some of this is true to an extent. Trying to connect the dots with who Zoe knows, but she been in the limelight her entire life… Why wouldn’t she know about all the s**t that’s been happening in the industry. I’m glad she made this movie.”
Another typed: “Agreed. I believe she took stories from stories she heard from “there’s no party like a diddy party” and the Epstein island. And here comes everything, both in this movie and in P. Diddy’s parties.”
Fans have also picked up on strong references to the Epstein case, although Zoe herself has said that the plot is “not so literal” and was part of a seven-year project. She told IndieWire: “Yeah, and it’s all a metaphor. It’s not so literal. So that [Epstein] situation, that particular place and person, that documentary or whatever it was, came out not even halfway through writing [Blink Twice],”
The Batman actress added: “I set this on an island because I wanted to isolate the characters and have them deal with this situation. I was thinking about, again, the Garden of Eden and Lord of the Flies, and I’m not just also talking about powerful men at that level.”
In a 2022 interview with IndieWire, also explained: “I started writing it pre-#MeToo, pre-Harvey [Weinstein]. Then the world started to have the conversation, so [the script] changed a lot. It became more about a power struggle and what that power struggle means. I rewrote it a million times. Now we’re like, ‘Holy sh*t. We’re doing this!”
