Oasis tribute band brings Supernova magic back to Knebworth Park

In 1996, Oasis set a record for the largest gig the UK had ever witnessed when they performed to a crowd of 250,000 at Knebworth Estate, with a staggering two and half million people applying for tickets.

Despite speculation that the band might return to the historic site as part of their upcoming Live ’25 tour, after 8.5 million fans missed out on tickets worldwide, the band has stated they have no plans to play at the park in the future.

However, tribute act Supernova has brought Oasis back to Knebworth, staging a gig on the historic estate. The concert was held to celebrate the opening of GRIDSERVE’s new Stevenage Electric Forecourt on the A1(M), which is located within the historic estate, all powered by a Kia EV6 and Genesis GV60.

Concert-goers were given a tour of the new electric forecourt, which boasts over 30 electric charging bays, including 24 high-power bays.

Oasis tribute band Supernova said: “We’re honoured to have been invited to perform at this legendary venue where Oasis had their biggest-ever concert.”

“It’s a rewarding feeling to be able to recreate the experience for the fans who missed out on tickets at this very special opening of GRIDSERVE’s Stevenage Electric Forecourt.”

Rebecca Trebble from the sustainable energy firm said: “We’re delighted to open this new location on the famed Knebworth Estate which has hosted some of the biggest names in music throughout history.”

“It’s great to see that this event has brought Oasis fans together once again where they had their notable concert nearly two decades ago.”
