Rita Ora bares all as puts on eye-popping display in totally see-through outfit

Rita Ora led the way at this year’s Met Gala when it came to freeing the nipple.

The annual fashion extravaganza, hosted by Vogue at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, was back for another year to support the new exhibition Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.

Some huge showbiz names across the globe embraced the dress code, which for this edition was The Garden of Time – named after J.G. Ballard’s dystopian short story.

While there were florals aplenty at the event, hosted this time around by co-chairs Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth, Jennifer Lopez, Anna Wintour and Zendaya, others took a much more liberal approach to the theme – as well as the number of garments they wore.

Singer Rita, 33, walked the carpet with director husband Taika Waititi, 48, in a gown comprised mostly of strings of beads. However, her second look saw her proudly free the nipple in a totally sheer gown featuring a flower-shape white cut out over her hips and strands of pearls making up the skirt. The Hot Right Now hitmaker accessorised with matching white shoes and wore an oversized white fur coat off-shoulder to keep her warm.

Other stars also going for cheekier looks at this year’s Met Gala included Doja Cat and Emily Ratajkowski, who donned a vintage Atelier Versace Haute Couture from the 2001 fall/winter collection. Another star embracing the nearly nude look was Bridgerton actress Pheobe Dynevor, who became the first person to attend the event dressed by Victoria Beckham in a custom look.

Her sheer pink tulle gown was dyed to match the Bafta-nominee’s skin tone and had a long train, with the star’s modesty – including the hint of a nipple – covered by delicate floral cut-outs.
