Stacey Solomon set to ‘quit UK and crack America’ — with help of huge Hollywood star

Stacey Solomon could be set for success across the pond – thanks to a certain Hollywood star.

The TV favourite shot to fame on the X Factor back in 2009 – where she came in third place. And since then, it’s fair to say the mum-of-five has not slowed down one bit.

As well as extending her brood with hubby Joe Swash, Stacey has starred in several shows, including the smash hit Sort Your Life Out. The BBC show, which was nominated for a BAFTA, recently wrapped up its latest series this month.

However, Stacey is back on screens next week for a brand new Channel 4 renovation shows show. Called Renovation Rescue, it will follow Stacey assist homeowners left stranded by contractors who abandoned their projects.

And it turns out she had a little help from a Hollywood A-lister to bring the project to life. As none other than Reese Witherspoon, has produced the show with her company Hello Sunshine.

Now, it’s been claimed Stacey’s collab with Reese could propel her to stardom across the pond. Apparently, Stacey’s British charm and Reese’s influential connections could make for a winning formula.

“Renovation shows are a mega business in America. There are entire channels dedicated to them,” a source told the Mirror.

“And they love Brits.“ The insider went on: “They think viewers will fall for Stacey’s English charm, and the Reese connection is a big enabler.”

The source apps claimed: “Stacey has carved out a successful career as the queen of DIY TV on the BBC and Channel 4 bosses are delighted they’ve been able to get in on the action. They also believe she has what it takes to crack America.”

Speaking about bagging the job on the show produced by Reese, Stacey previously said: “How does she even know me? I still to this day don’t know how they found me.

“They just said they wanted me. Maybe some of her researchers and her team had seen the show.”

It comes after Stacey won the Royal Television Society award for Best Popular Factual Show for Sort Your Life Out last month. She shared the moment on Instagram and wrote: “We Won.

“Our First EVER award for Sort Your Life Out & my first ever award for my own TV show. And it’s a @royaltelevisionsociety award!! WHAT. It’s only taken me 15 years/ I don’t even know what to say. I definitely wasn’t ready for the speech.”
