Taylor Swift has always been open about her dating life, but she tends to keep the intimate details under wraps.
While she’s hinted at sexual experiences in her songs with many fans speculating that the red scarf in All Too Well symbolises losing her virginity, Taylor has never openly discussed her bedroom antics with her fans. However, this hasn’t stopped her exes from being quite frank about their own sexual exploits.
Take One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles, who confessed his hit Watermelon Sugar is about “oral sex and female orgasms”. During a tour stop in Nashville, he said: “The song is about… it doesn’t really matter what it’s about.”

“It’s about, um, the sweetness of life! … It’s also about the female orgasm but that’s totally different, it’s not really relevant. So that settles that.”
Given lyrics like: “I just wanna taste it / Tastes like strawberries / I want your belly,” it’s hardly a shocker.
But Harry isn’t the only one of Taylor’s exes to share a spicy sex confession. Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer and several other stars have also dished on their bedroom escapades.
And she famously sang “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”, which she released on this day in 2012. But it’s not clear whether any of her exes’ bedroom antics were what put her off…
Joe Jonas
Ex-Disney star Joe Jonas isn’t shy about expressing his desires in the bedroom. Alongside hinting that he’s the most well-endowed of his brothers, he’s also revealed a penchant for a bit of kink between the sheets.
He dished to Glamour magazine: “I feel like I’m free in my life to speak about it, and yeah, everyone should try a little bit of something new in the bedroom. It’s definitely fun when you bring some whips and leather and whatever you may be into a little bit of S&M into the bedroom.
“I wrote it about me and someone I was getting wild with, and maybe busted some outfits out you know, you get a little crazy.”
The heartthrob also got pretty candid about his first time on Reddit, sharing: “I lost my virginity to this girl named Ashley. You can probably just Google it. It’s pretty easy to figure out. I did other stuff before then, but I was sexually active at 20. I’m glad I waited for the right person, because you look back and you go, ‘That girl was bats**t crazy’. I’m glad I didn’t go there.
“It’s quite the great story because I didn’t have any condoms, so I went to our drummer, Jack’s room, who was my roommate at the time and I demolished his room looking for them. Found them underneath his underwear drawer. When he came home, he thought somebody broke into his room because his whole room was demolished because I was in dire need.”
John Mayer
Guitar legend John Mayer, known for Your Body is a Wonderland and being a muse for many Taylor Swift tunes like Dear John, made quite the quirky revelation confessing he loves strumming his six-strings after a steamy session between the sheets.
On the saucy Call Her Daddy podcast, John spilled the beans on his post-coital guitar strumming habits: “I do it after sometimes. You should never play guitar to have sex with someone… but a little naked guitar playing after is very memorable.”
He added: “With a little gut hanging over, sitting Indian-style on the edge of the bed. It’s nice! … I like seeing the way people fold up all weird when they sit up. No matter who you are, you look weird when you sit up. And it’s cute.”
The crooner also let slip that he’s notched up less than 500 lovers, cheekily claiming membership in the “sub-500 gang”.
Jake Gyllenhaal
Switching gears to Hollywood heartthrob Jake Gyllenhaal, he dished the dirt on filming steamy scenes, including a “torturous” one with Friends icon Jennifer Aniston in the 2002 flick The Good Girl, where they used the “pillow technique” to keep things professional.
Chatting on the Howard Stern Show, Jake confessed: “It was torture, yes it was, but it was also not torture. I mean, come on. It was like a mix of both. Weirdly, love scenes are awkward because there are maybe 30, 50 people watching. That doesn’t turn me on.”
He elaborated, “Most of the time, it’s oddly mechanical, right? And also it’s a dance, like, you choreograph it for a camera. It’s one of those like a fight scene, you gotta choreograph those things and I always have tried.”

Jennifer had the foresight to offer a “pre-emptive” solution, generously suggesting, “I’m putting a pillow here.”
Jake opened up about his stroke of luck in getting to fake it between the sheets with Anne Hathaway not just once but twice, having co-starred in both ‘Brokeback Mountain’ and ‘Love and other Drugs’. Gushing about his on-screen romances, Jake dished: “I’m lucky. Annie and I had already had sex on film in Brokeback Mountain, so I wasn’t too nervous.”
Jake went on to sing praises of their on-screen chemistry, revealing, “There’s something about the way Annie and I both work which is inherently very musical. It’s all about rhythm. There’s a rhythm to writing, there’s a rhythm to sports and there’s a rhythm to sex. I recommend getting in bed with Anne Hathaway to any man.”
