The 1% Club fans have been left “gutted”.
The popular Saturday primetime show presented by comedian Lee Mack has been entertaining ITV viewers for weeks but it has been confirmed that last episode of the current series will air on May 25.
A message posted on the show’s official X account on Monday (May 20) read: “This Saturday will be the last episode of this current series. The episode was filmed quite a while ago. Anyone recognise one of the contestants playing here before she made her other TV appearance? We absolutely loved having her on the show – she was great fun! #the1percentclub”

Alongside the announcement was a picture of the studio with one of the contestants featured on the big screen and some fans rushed to guess the identity of the famous player in question. One fan penned: “Looking forward to watching the last episode and to see Yinrun from Big Brother!” A second person said: “Yes, Yinrun of Big Brother!”
Others were left disappointment they will have to wait for more episodes of the quiz show to air. One social media user said: “Last Episode of the series. Wow that gone quick.” A second fan said: “Gutted that it is the last episode of the series!” It comes after The 1% Club faced an unexpected twist during the latest instatement.
A record-breaking 32 contestants were ousted from the game during the episode which aired on May 18 following an incorrectly answered question. Presenter Lee was taken aback at this rare event, exclaiming: “Wow. That is massive. 32 people went out on that one!”
The puzzling question responsible for upsetting the proverbial apple cart was: Which of these would it be impossible to do? (A) Marry your cousin’s cousin (B) Marry your brother’s widow (C) Marry your widow’s sister.
Answer C stumped majority of the contestants, prompting Lee to clarify: “You would not be able to marry your widow’s sister as you would already be dead. Before we get any complaints – I accept that is a bit zombie-ist.”
The unique show format gives hundred competitors a chance to solve riddles and word puzzles against the clock, aiming to clinch a slice of the potential £100,000 prize pool. Typically, a mere handful of contestants get eliminated in each round, making the mass departure quite an extraordinary sight.
The 1% Clubs airs Saturdays on ITV1 and ITVX
