The Chase fans fume as they spot huge question blunder and demand bosses for ‘clarification’

The Chase fans were left raging at their screens as they pointed out a huge question blunder.

The hit ITV gameshow was back on TV screens on Monday (February 19) as telly legend Bradley welcomed four new quizzers. As fans tuned in, he introduced contestants Nigel, Anna, Viji and Mel before they battled it out to take home the all-important cash prize.

This week the quartet were up against Paul Sinah, also known as The Sinnerman, who made sure to bring his A-game against the wise quizzers. But things took an awkward turn viewers noticed one of the questions was actually wrong.

During Mel’s round he was playing for a hefty £5,000. Halfway through, he was asked: “Actress Queen Latifah added a clause to her contracts stating that any character she plays cannot do what?”

Bradley was back to host the show

The options were Drive, Dance or Die. Mel chose dance which was incorrect. Instead, the right answer was supposedly Die. However, fans were not too happy as they picked up on the answer itself which was supposedly wrong.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, one person pointed out how Queen Latifah had supposedly died in a previous film. They said: “@ITVChase clarification on the Queen Latifah question.

“As I’ve seen her in a film called Set It Off where she dies shortly before the end.” Someone else added: “That’s what I was thinking! And she drives in that film also.” A third quipped: “Yep, absolutely correct.”

Unfortunately for Mel he was caught by The Chaser. As a result, he booted from the show joining some of his co-stars.

Fans claimed the ‘correct’ answer was ‘wrong’

This meant in the final round, only Anna and Nigel were the remaining players hoping to take home as much cash as they could. And the pair almost had it in the bag during the tense game – bagging fifteen correct answers. But it wasn’t their lucky day, as The Sinnerman managed to get a question right one second before time ran out, beating their score of 15.
