The Chase viewers swoon over ‘gorgeous’ player who sailed through to nail-biting final

Fans of ITV’s The Chase were left awestruck during the latest episode, as they couldn’t keep their eyes off a “gorgeous” player.

Bradley Walsh was back with a brand new set of contestants on Tuesday (March 5) hoping to win a huge wad of cash. But on today’s show, chaser Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett was standing in their way.

Despite the team doing fairly well, with the first two players going through, fans were left distracted by player number three, Sophie who’s beauty exeuded through the screen. Heading straight over to X formerly known as Twitter, fans couldn’t help but shower the hopeful player with compliments.

One social media user said: “Sophie seems nice.” Another penned: “Sophie on #TheChase is gorgeous.”

Sophie left fans mesmerised on The Chase

A third viewer also mentioned player number two, Ellen. They wrote: “Can’t decide whether Sophie or Ellen is the woman I love (for today anyway).”

After facing The Beast, Sophie managed to make it back to her team, leaving fans overjoyed. With £15,000 in the kitty, things looked promising for the team.

Player number four, Steve was the last contestant to take on the quizzing challenge. Answering Bradley’s questions with ease during round one, Steve achieved £7,000 in his cashbuilder.

Steve seemed to have great quizzing knowledge

But once at the table, Steve decided to go for the high offer. However not sticking to what he had earnt cost Steve dearly as he was caught by The Beast shortly after.

Fans were disappointed by Steve’s loss and headed back over to X to share their grievances. One annoyed spectator said: “Typical, a rare contestant that I want to do well/win then he goes high and gets knocked out. Seat 4 and a reasonable amount of money overall he should have just stuck in the middle! Even without hindsight, it’s definitely logical.

Three contestants made it through to the final

Another said: “Bad luck, team. If only Steve hadn’t taken the high offer.”

While another viewer seemed to think the chaser was encouraging the players to go for the high offers on the table. A third sceptical viewer added: “The way he spoke of the low offer, he semi-enabled everyone to go high, it was destiny.”

With three contestants remainng and £15,000 in the kitty, the final proved to tough for the players. In a close nail-biting final, The Beast managed to beat the team with only a few seconds remaining on the clock.
