The Masked Singer contestant Owl has been unmasked as Lorraine Kelly.
The wacky ITV show returned for another episode on Saturday (January 27) and saw eight masked singers compete while a fifth celebrity was eliminated and unmasked. Eiffel Tower, Dippy Egg, Cricket, Owl, Piranha, Big Foot, Air Fryer and Maypole all sang their hearts out in a bid to get through to the next round.
Panellists Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan and Rita Ora were joined by special guest Ellie Goulding as they tried to work out which famous face was on the stage. However, after all eight characters sang, only seven could make it through.

After receiving the least amount of votes from the studio audience, Eiffel Tower and Owl found themselves in the bottom two and the panel decided to send home Owl who was later revealed to be Lorraine Kelly.
After seeing Lorraine’s face, host Joel quipped: “That has to be one of the best reveals on the show!” While the panelists, who guessed it was Emily Atack or Alex Scott, looked on in shock.
Gushing about how she loved her time on the show, she said: “I’ve never sang in front of an audience. So it was amazing to do that!” While fans were just as stunned to see Lorraine on the stage.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, one viewer penned: “OMG Lorraine! Was not expecting that!” A second penned: “Lorraine has a beautiful signing voice, love a bit of Lorraine Kelly.”
Before the new series aired, Joel shared his excitement at the big reveals. He said: It’s so liberating to be a part of a show where first of all, people really enjoy it and also from my point of view, any idea I have, it’s fair game. Even when it comes to the suits!”
“I think we’ve definitely got some of the best vocalists we’ve ever had on the show and we’ve had some really incredible ones in the past. The show goes through an interesting meandering of, we are all here for all the new characters, but then maybe the better singers start to get through in the last rounds, usually the final. Let’s be honest, it’s usually really incredible singers left at that point. This year I really do feel like we’ve got some of the best we’ve ever had.”
