Strictly Come Dancing star Shirley Ballas has vowed to get a new tattoo following her appearance on The Masked Singer.
Earlier this month, the head judge was unmasked as Rat on the ITV reality show when she went head-to-head with Pirahna. On the show, the TV star sang the hit song Boom, Boom, Boom by the Vengaboys and disguised her voice with a Liverpudlian accent.
The 63-year-old wowed fans with her impressive vocal skills and utterly fooled the star-studded detective panel who failed to unmask her before her big reveal. Arguably, one of the most surprising facts the mum-of-one revealed on the show was her surprising amount of bum tattoos.

A tattoo gun featured in the pre-recorded video clues given at the start of the show and after she was unmasked guest judge Olly Murs asked her if she has any ink. She revealed: “All over my backside. All over, and all over, and all over.”

Now, in an interview with Daily Star and other press, the award-winning dancer has revealed her plans to add to her collection and immortalise her time on the show forever.
She told us: “I might just do that. I just might have Rat tattooed but where is the question? Where shall I have the tattoo of Rat? Maybe I’ll ask that of the viewers. “
Later speaking to ITV, she said: “I have tattoos on my bottom – a butterfly which represents freedom on one side. When my brother was alive, he was a fisherman, and he used to see all these beautiful frogs when he was out and about.

“She when he passed away I put a beautiful frog on my backside.” Her inkings include the name of her current boyfriend Danny Taylor. She went on: “I put my boyfriend’s name on my bottom as well.
“I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing but we’re still together so…” The dancing expert went on to reveal that the real reason she went on the show was because of her mum.
Shirley continued: “I went on it more for my mum, my 86-year-old mum who is a fan of the show because I originally didn’t want to do it at all. She had to really give me a little bit of a push.

“And my son Mark was a little bit like, you know, I’m not sure about that Mum.” The TV star added that she got to design her own costume after she rejected the options ITV offered.
The doting mum explained: “In the end, we decided to go with it, and I designed my own costume as Rat. They offered me all these other outfits, but I wanted go with something that was really down to earth and a little bit more me.
“Because I’m a September [baby], I’m the year of the Rat. I’m surprised they didn’t use that as a clue actually, and yes that’s why I have the costume.”

Shirley went on to gush over her time on the show, and revealed she has already started begging ITV bosses to keep her elaborate costume. She went on: “I have to say I’ve had many experiences, many, many experiences.
“That’s the highlight of my career. I enjoyed every minute of it and I am desperately wanting them to give me the rat so I can stuff him and put him in a corner in my house.
“Because he’s family for me now, this is my rat.” Fans will have to stay tuned to see who will be unmasked next on The Masked Singer.
