This Morning fans have slammed Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley’s “painful” interview with Jon Bon Jovi.
On Wednesday’s episode (April 17) the rock legend, 62, appeared as a guest on the programme to talk about his latest docu-series, titled Thank You, Goodnight. Talk soon turned to Richie Sambora, who left the group in 2013, and the interview appeared to turn sour, with the rockstar seemingly making an exit soon after it finished.
The trio had been discussing Richie’s appearance in the new documentary, during which he spoke about his reasons for leaving the group. The guitarist had struggled with alcoholism, and explained that due to personal reasons he had to depart the band.

Bon Jovi told Cat and Ben that he had no idea Richie was going to leave the band when he did and was shocked that he didn’t show up mid-concert. However he stressed to the hosts that there was “no animosity” between them.
The band moved on and replaced Richie, with new guitarist Phil X stepping up. On the ITV programme, they chatted about Jon and Richie getting together to watch the docu-series.
It was explained that he had seen his former band member on the screen discussing his departure for first time. Bon Jovi appreciated his reasons and his “truth” over why he had to leave.
It appeared to fans that the lead singer of the group did not want to delve into too much detail about it but Ben seemingly failed to read the room and kept probing about Richie leaving the band. Not wanting to open up about the situation anymore, Bon Jovi shut down the host, telling him again: “There was no animosity, I swear to you.”
The frontman’s annoyance did not go unnoticed by fans, one person penned: “Oh it’s PAINFUL to watch,” another added: “‘There is no animosity, I swear to ya’ Ouch!”
Another user fumed: “Look Ben he said there’s no hard feelings, stop pushing it,” as a fourth agreed: “God, this is still going on.”
Other’s wrote: “I’m glad I’ve got some paint drying to distract me from this,” and: “Is there someone behind Jon Bon Jovi pointing a gun at him because he looks and sounds like he’d rather be anywhere but on that sofa.”
Once the interview had finished, eagle eyed fans noticed that the rockstar seemingly couldn’t get out of the studio quick enough. He hastily thanked the hosts before taking off.
One internet goer said: “Jon Bon Jovi’s fake smiling, mild irritation and legging it out of there,” as another added: “Jon Bon Jovi couldn’t have got his a*** out of there quick enough.”
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV
