Kirk Norcross has shared the heartbreaking messages he sends his late co-star father.
The former TOWIE star found Mick Norcross dead at his home on January 21, 2021 after dying by suicide at the age of 57. It has been over three years but Kirk has revealed that he still keeps his dad up to date with his life.
He logged onto his official Instagram page over the weekend to share a screen recording of the texts he’s sent to Mick’s phone since his passing.

In one message sent in May 2022, Kirk wrote: “Dad hope I’m making you happy and I hope that you have found peace. Thank you for everything you’ve ever done for me. Miss you so much big man.” Another text sent in February 2023 said: “Can’t stop thinking about you dad!!! Wish you was here! I love you so much! Thanks for everything you have ever done for me.”
In May last year, Kirk messaged his late dad saying: “Dad! I’m 2 years sober today! You help me do this every day! Hope you are ok yp there! Love you and miss ya pops x.” A few weeks later on June 2, the reality star wrote: “Hi dad, hope you are relaxing in peace. I had an operation this morning. I had them lumps in my chest removed from taking silly steroids. I felt you with me today. I also felt you laughing at me which made me feel happy. I love you and I miss you loads x.”
As well as sending messages to mark Father’s Day, Kirk has also sent photos to Mick’s phone of his garden transformation and asked his father for his opinion, writing: “What do you think?” and “hope you like it”.
Alongside the clip, Kirk wrote: “Over 3 years without my dad but I still contact him and let him know what I am doing! This is what I do for my own healing and it helps! LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU DAD!” Unsurprisingly, a majority of the star’s 284,000 followers rushed to leave a message in the comment section.
One fan penned: “That really hit me…. Thank you for posting.” Another added: “Oh this broke me, sending you love and light.” A third person said: “I used to phone my dad’s answer machine. Just to hear his voic. Days before mobiles. Nice to have cassettes of his voice.” A fourth social media user said: “Wow this is so heartbreaking but also so powerful, it just stopped me in my tracks. Whatever helps you with your loss, do that thing, it’s your thing x.”
Kirk is now an ambassador for suicide charity Papyrus and speaks to people everyday who are suffering like his dad was, estimating he helps ’10 to 20′ a day. He has been suffering from PTSD since finding his father’s body, but previously said: “In some ways I’m pleased it was me who found him but it will be etched in my mind for the rest of my life.
“When I realised he’d passed, I lay next to his body, kissed him on the head and said: ‘thank you for everything you did dad and sorry for all I have done. I promise I’ll do my best.’ It was that moment he died I became a man. I knew I had to try and make him proud.’
