The husband of late Australian TV presenter Erin Jayne Plummer has died just two years after she took her own life.
Alan Plummer, 49, was reportedly found dead at their family’s home in Freshwater, a northern beach in Sydney, Australia. This leaves the couple’s three children without parents and orphaned.
His passing was described as “tragic” by a source familiar with the situation, according to Mail Online. Confirming his death, a NSW Police Force spokesperson told the publication: “Officers from Northern Beaches Police Area Command will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner regarding the death of a 49-year-old man at Freshwater on Sunday.”

Alan was the former director of a now-defunct company called Shine VIP Tours Australia PTY LTD. TV star Erin was famed for hosting Australian talk show Studio 10.
Alan had sold the family’s four-bedroom home in Freshwater two months before his death. It was a property the family had owned for over two decades, reports the Mirror.
Erin died in 2022 after battling mental health difficulties. Erin’s heartbroken colleagues broke the tragic news of her death on social media, describing her as ‘a gorgeous human inside and out’.
Erin’s grieving friend and colleague, Sarah Harris, celebrated her as a ‘gold medal mum’. She wrote: “Over the weekend, Studio 10 lost a little bit of sparkle with our friend and advertorial host Erin Jayne passing away suddenly.
“For two decades, Erin Jayne has been a friendly and familiar face on Australian television, for a lot of that she’s been brightening up our mornings with her bubbly personality and megawatt smile. Erin was just a gorgeous human inside and out and if it wasn’t for TV, Erin Jayne perhaps might have had a sporting career.
“She represented Australia in synchronised swimming and even surf life-saving. There is no question Erin Jayne was a high achiever and certainly a gold medal mum to her three young girls.
As well as working for Studio 10, Erin had appeared on other shows in Australia for more than two decades. She presented an aerobics TV show for six years and had represented her country in synchronised swimming, winning 11 national titles.
She worked at MTV, The Morning Show and Totally Active TV. Away from the camera, she also did several voiceovers for television.
Following her death, a GoFundMe was set up to help support her family. The page read at the time: “Fundraising to support a regular gardener and housekeeper to keep the Plummer household running along with anything else they may need.”
Quickly, over $20,000 (£10,900) was raised by heartbroken friends, family, and supporters.
