Zac Efron has thanked fans for well wishes after he was sent to hospital after a “minor” incident in a pool.
The High School Musical actor was staying at a villa in Ibiza when he reportedly had an issue in the pool. Two villa workers found him and pulled him out before he was taken to hospital.
The 36-year-old has now broken his silence to reassure fans. Sharing a picture from a workout on his Instagram Story, he wrote: “Happy and healthy – thanks for the well wishes.”

According to TMZ, the Hairspray actor’s spokesperson described the incident as “minor” – however it was not explained why he would need hospital treatment.
They claimed it had only been a precautionary measure. His reps would not elaborate further, simply insisting: “He is fine.”
Zac, who most recently starred in Netflix movie A Family Affair, has previously spoke of how he likes to get outdoors to decompress to find his “true self”.
He told The Rake magazine: “When filming is done, I need to disconnect. Be out in nature and let the character drift out of me and I then find my true self again.
“The best place for me to do that if not in nature is to be somewhere new. I think you need to re-engage with who you are before you head back and try to be with your friends and family.”
He also loves to travel, to take a break from LA. “One of the biggest blessings of my journey is that I’ve been able to travel from a young age,” he added.
