Swimmer Adam Peaty and Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Holly recently tied the knot and in a bold move, the Olympian has defiantly changed his name amid the ongoing Peaty family feud
Adam Peaty has changed his name following his marriage to Holly Ramsay as his family feud continues.
The Olympic swimmer has further distanced himself from his own family amid ongoing public disputes after the couple tied the knot on Saturday 27 December. His mother and immediate family were noticeably absent from the grand affair at Bath Abbey as the couple exchanged vows in front of a host of famous faces, including Holly’s father Gordon Ramsay.
The only member of Adam’s immediate family who appeared to support him on his big day was his sister Bethany. His devastated mum Caroline spoke on the eve of the wedding and said she felt like the couple “have cut my heart out.”
Adam has updated his name on social media to Adam Ramsay Peaty, similar to Brooklyn Beckham, who incorporated his wife Nicola Peltz’s surname into his own after their wedding three years ago.
The eldest Beckham has also had a falling out with his family and allegedly recently blocked most of them on Instagram, reports the Mirror. The origins of the Peaty family feud date back to September 2024, when Adam and Holly allegedly caused upset by not inviting extended members of the Peaty family to their engagement party.
Caroline was not present for Holly’s glitzy hen do at Soho Farmhouse in the Cotswolds last month, even though her mother Tana Ramsay and her mother’s friends, including former Spice Girl and Brooklyn Beckham’s mother Victoria Beckham, were in attendance.
The pair exchanged vows and stepped out hand-in-hand from after one of the most discussed celebrity nuptials in recent times.
A source spoke to The Sun and claimed: “Adam ought to be ashamed of himself for going ahead with the wedding without them after everything they did to support him. Beth [Adam’s sister] has betrayed her mum to see what she can get out of being the only family member who gets on with Adam and Holly.”
Caroline, aged 60, voiced her feelings during the wedding weekend and told Mail: “I don’t think they understand how much they have hurt me; it’s as if they have cut my heart out. This is the first Christmas that I’ve not had my family together, my family is broken. Yes, I have my other grandchildren. Yes, I have my other children, but my family is split because of the goings on…because of the wedding.”
