Adam Peaty was told “shame on you” in a brutal text from his aunt just moments before marrying Holly Ramsay, it has been claimed.
His aunt Louise – banned from his wedding to Gordon Ramsay’s daughter, 25, along with most of the Peaty family – reportedly sent the message shortly before the Olympic swimming legend, 31, walked down the aisle on Saturday.
She said: “I hope you never suffer the depth of pain you have put your mother through and despite it all she loves you still. Shame on you both. Shame. Remember on this, your happiest day, and on each anniversary of your happiest day, that you hurt your mum so deeply her soul screams.”
It comes after Adam Peaty is said to have previously offered his dad an olive branch ahead of his wedding with Holly Ramsay, with a family source swiping at the swimmer’s alleged invitation.
The row was sparked when members of the Peaty family were not asked to the couple’s engagement bash.
Adam’s mum Caroline was not invited to Holly’s hen do at Soho Farmhouse last month, even though her mum Tana and family friend Victoria Beckham were.
Holly, 25, had to call police after Adam’s brother James allegedly made threats via text while the breaststroke star was on his stag do.
Later, Adam infuriated dad Mark by telling him he could attend, but only if he sat at the back.
After the rancour boiled over, many of the Peaty family were uninvited from the nuptials altogether.
Only Adam’s sister Bethany is known to have been there as a bridesmaid alongside Holly’s sisters Megan, 27, and Tilly, 24.
Devastated Caroline had threatened to turn up to the abbey anyway to see her son wed, with her husband Mark persuading her not to.
Guests at the £2,500 venue included the Beckhams and their children Romeo, Cruz and Harper, alongside Adam’s Strictly co-star Dan Walker and Marcus Wareing from Masterchef: The Professionals.
Hell’s Kitchen star Gordon was seen kissing his daughter before escorting her down the aisle.
Yesterday, Adam’s brother James shared an image of him and his mother dressed up outside Bath Abbey from a different wedding to his Instagram account using a Godfather-themed soundtrack – before deleting it after 15 minutes.
And his mum and dad both broke cover looking grim-faced, Caroline as she left the house to visit her mum Mavis and Mark as he walked the couple’s dog.
Adam’s great aunt Janet, 73, also left out of the wedding, said: “I just feel so sorry for Caroline.
“I can’t believe he’s done this to his mother who’s done so much for him from an early age. To be treated like this is not kind.”
