Hollyoaks actor David Ames has updated his followers after being rushed to hospital.
The Holby City star took to social media with a message about his health after being in “agony”. He shared a pic of him alongside a picture of him on an IV drip.
He wrote: “Waking up in absolute agony with possible kidney stones is not how I planned to start my day… but here we are!”
The 41-year-old telly star, who is known for starring as Dominic Copeland in BBC One’s Holby City and headteacher Carter Shepherd in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks .

Despite the hospital visit, the star joked about the water soluble lubricated jelly he was given as he took a photo of the suppository and lubrication and said: “Didn’t even buy me a drink…”
He later thanked his fans for their concerns and penned: “I’m so moved by your messages of support and donations. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Later in the day, he also shared a clip of him running on Instagram as he panted on camera out of breath. He wrote alongside the clip: “I’m running the London Marathon this year in memory of my incredible friend Allison.
“In her final voicemail to me before she passed last year, Allison suggested I should support @breastcancernow after I asked her who she’d like me to run and raise money for.
