The Traitors’ celebrity edition has begun filming and the star studded lineup includes some true British icons, including beloved comedians, sports icons and chart-topping singers
The Traitors celebrity series’ lineup has been revealed.
Filming has finally begun and host Claudia Winkleman will be returning as a whole host of famous faces enter the iconic Scottish castle.
Bob Mortimer, Alan Carr and Charlotte Church have been confirmed and a source has told The Mirror: “There will be a huge mix of personalities – and ego sizes.”
“Seeing how it all works out is going to be fascinating. The team making the show are expecting it to be quite different to the regular version because the celebrities will be less motivated by the prize fund but care far more about how they come across.”
“It will be really interesting to see how the gameplay compares, along with which tactics they employ. Hopefully one thing that will remain the same is that it will be a lot of fun to watch.”
Loose Women star Kate Garraway will reportedly be joining the lineup along with TV presenter Jonathan Ross, famous for interviewing celebs on his self-titled chat show.
Rugby player Joe Marler is also rumoured to be joining The Traitors. Sports fans will know him from Premiership club Harlequins and even a stint with the England team before retiring in November last year.
Sources have claimed that QI legend Stephen Fry reportedly jumped at the chance to compete and previously hinted he was joining the show during a chat on This Morning.
“It’s a BBC show, isn’t it? It’s an interesting show. Do you think they’re going to do a celebrity version?” asked Fry before host Ben Shepherd asked whether he’d “be interested in doing a show like that”. Stephen replied: “Let me see how good I am at lying.”
Ted Lasso actor Nick Mohammed, Olympic diver Tom Daley, broadcaster David Olusoga and YouTube star Niko Omilana will allegedly be joining The Traitors’ celebrity edition.
They will reportedly be joined by Line of Duty’s Mark Bonnar, BRIT Award star Cat Burns, comedians Joe Wilkinson and Lucy Beaumont, sports presenter Clare Balding, pop star Paloma Faith and actresses Ruth Codd, Tameka Empson and Celia Imrie.
