Coronation Street star Kym Marsh has announced the arrival of her fourth grandchild as she praised her “warrior” daughter Emilie Cunliffe
Former Coronation Street star Kym Marsh was overflowing with Christmas cheer as she revealed the birth of her fourth grandchild in a heartwarming festive announcement.
The 49 year old actress, famed for playing Michelle Connor, turned to Instagram to share the wonderful news, heaping praise on daughter Emilie Cunliffe and son-in-law Mikey in her emotional post. “Well what a wonderful Christmas gift this is! !” Kym wrote, alongside adorable photos of the newborn with his siblings. Revealing the baby’s name, she continued: “Welcome to the world Bobby Saint Mykola Hoszowskyj! ! !”.
“He’s so beautiful! So so proud of my girl Emilie she is a warrior! ! And of my son in law Mikey for being her rock today! We are all in love! ! Merry Christmas everyone.”
Predictably, Kym’s fans rushed to fill the comments with congratulations, including former Hear’Say colleague Danny Foster, who posted a red heart emoji, reports OK!.
“What a beautiful Christmas gift. Congratulations to you all,” wrote one supporter. Another added: “Huge congratulations to you all.”
Responding to one message, Kym disclosed further details about Bobby’s arrival, sharing: “He was 7lb 6oz she had a very quick birth. Got in the hospital at 10.25 and he was here at 10.35 hahah”.
The Waterloo Road star, who lovingly calls herself ‘Yaya’, already dotes on Emilie’s son Teddy and step-daughter Polly, plus son David’s boy, Clay.
While Kym is best known for her role as Michelle Connor in Corrie, she has ventured into various other roles since leaving the soap in 2019, including playing Nicky Walters in BBC’s school drama, Waterloo Road.
Recently, she featured in Channel 5’s thriller The Imposter, alongside Neighbours icon Jackie Woodburne and singer Dannii Minogue, with filming taking place in Melbourne, Australia.

Since departing from the cobbles, Kym has also treaded the boards in a number of plays and musicals, such as Fatal Attraction, 101 Dalmatians and Abigail’s Party.
In the New Year, Kym is set to tour the UK once again in a stage adaptation of Single White Female, alongside EastEnders star and TV chef Lisa Faulkner.
Her daughter Emilie is also no stranger to the spotlight, having starred alongside her mum in the UK tour of Greatest Days: The Musical. In the jukebox musical, which features the music of Take That, Emilie portrayed a younger version of Kym’s character.
