Danny Dyer’s expletive-filled rant left viewers gobsmacked.

Some of the biggest names in music and television gathered at London’s O2 Arena for the 2025 BRIT Awards on Saturday night (March 1). The likes of Sabrina Carpenter and Lola Young took to the stage during the star-studded event, which saw Charli XCX sweep up five awards, including best artist and song of the year.

However, it’s clear EastEnders star Danny stole the show for some for more than one reason, including how he was sat next to a lady wearing a horse mask. Danny shocked viewers when he embarked on a foul-mouthed rant that saw him muted by ITV during the broadcast.

Most of the ceremony aired after the 9pm watershed, swearing was still bleeped out on live TV with artists like Sabrina Carpenter singing clean versions of their tracks. Danny ended up getting bleeped on multiple occasions during his chat with host Jack Whitehall about his new film Marching Powder.

Danny launched into a furious rant wherein he slammed PM Keir Starmer, using the word “c***” and calling him “b******* of the year”. It’s safe to say host Jack looked rather panicked after giving Danny free reign of the mic.

The former Walford favourite said: “I don’t wanna upset anyone,” before Jack assured him: “You’re not gonna upset anyone at the Brits. It’s post-watershed, you can say what you like.”

“It’s basically Bridget Jones,” said Danny of his film before he uttered the C-word and got bleeped. “When I said you could say anything, not that word obviously! This is ITV. Have we got a beeper? I don’t know where to go from there.” said Jack, as Danny replied: “Well, you asked me, Jack.”

However, the swearing only got worse as Jack proceeded to ask the star who would win the award for “t*** of the year”. “This isn’t technically a Brit Award, but what I love about you is you call a mug a mug,” Jack said.

Taking aim at the PM, Danny replied: “The world is being run by cranks at the moment so probably Sir Keir Starmer.” A panicked Jack replied: “Let’s not turn this into a riot,” but more chaos ensued Danny then branded Starmer a “b*****d” and a “s**g”.

According to the Mirror, Danny got bleeped when he took a dig at singer Chappell Roan, while presenting the award for International Song of the Year. He reportedly told the O” Arena: “She couldn’t be f***ed to be here,” before introducing a video message from Chappell.

He swore on stage multiple times while presenting the gong. He said: “Hello motherf***ers! Listen guys… I’m f***ing sweating – it’s like a swamp down there, I’m telling you. Sweaty boll***s.”
