McFly star Danny Jones’ wife Georgia missed an episode of the Mum’s The Word! podcast that she hosts with Kelsey Parker, days after his alleged kiss with Maura Higgins
Danny Jones’ wife Georgia has missed an appearance on her podcast in the wake of her husband’s alleged kiss with Maura Higgins.
Footage from The Sun earlier this month appeared to show former I’m A Celebrity co-stars Danny and Maura locking lips in a quick kiss at a BRITS after-party at 180 House in London, with a source saying: “Danny and Maura seemed to be having a great time. They looked like they had a brief drunken kiss.”
It has now emerged that former Miss England Georgia, who is married to McFly star Danny, was absent from the latest instalment of the Mum’s The Word! podcast that she hosts with her friend Kelsey Parker. The pair usually host together, but Kelsey presented the latest episode alone.
The instalment became available online today (March 10) and features Love Island star Olivia Bowen. She opened up to Kelsey about pregnancy and pregnancy loss, but Georgia was nowhere to be seen.
Nor was she mentioned in the description of the episode, which said: “In this deeply personal episode of Mum’s The Word, Kelsey Parker is joined by the courageous Olivia Bowen in her first podcast interview since revealing the heartbreaking loss of one of her twins mid-pregnancy.” It comes after Georgia reportedly missed a Q&A with Kelsey at The Baby Show in London.
Maura and Danny were both campers on the last series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! last year, which saw McFly star Danny crowned King of the Jungle. They struck up a friendship during their time in the Aussie jungle camp and appear to have remained friends since heading back to real life.
The pair have been in the headlines for days since the video which appeared to show them briefly kissing at the bash in London. The pair sat on different tables for the BRITs ceremony, which was held at London’s O2 Arena, but they reportedly shared a table at Universal’s afterparty.
It has since reported that after this party they both went on to to another event at the Nobu Hotel in Marylebone – despite previous reports Maura had gone home in a taxi. They allegedly went separately by car but were then seen together at the industry party, holding wineglasses, as other people milled about them.
Neither has addressed the alleged incident, but there is no suggestion that Maura and Danny are romantically linked, or that the apparent “kiss” they shared was anything more than something between friends.
Onlookers claimed the pair were cosying up to one another for hours before the alleged kiss. They were later spotted at Sony Music’s afterparty and stayed until the early hours, believed to be around 4am.
A body language expert has also weighed in on what they saw in the video, telling the Daily Star that it looked as if there was “nothing sensual between them”. Speaking on behalf of Casino.org, she told Daily Star: “Danny and Maura’s kisses wouldn’t really register as notable for either of them. Whether drunk or sober, the kisses appear meaningless from a romantic standpoint.
“Danny stands in a confident position during the brief moment when we see them kissing – he’s got his hands in his pockets in a chilled-out, secure stance, with his feet a little way apart. This is the pose of a man enjoying the adoration of a fan, not a loverboy trying to ravish a lady. He’s not even leaning towards her. He’s not reaching out to hold her.”
She added: “Their lips meet, but they’re still not touching with the rest of their bodies, not hugging, not leaning on each other; there’s nothing sensual between them. They do appear to be locking lips, but the fact that their arms, legs, and torsos do not meet suggests that there is less to that kiss than meets the eye.
“In fact, from the little we can see in the dark, Maura’s head recoils from the kiss, as if they bumped into each other. Her head bounces back after kissing Danny, which is odd. The recoiling tells us that Maura’s face wasn’t sticking around for another kiss.”
Georgia and Danny have been married since 2014, and welcomed son Cooper in 2018. Daily Star has contacted a representative for Georgia for comment.
