Emmerdale fans point out chilly ‘blunder’ in deadly limousine crash

Eagle-eyed Emmerdale viewers have spotted an apparent error in the deadly limo crash that has already claimed the life of one fan-favourite as they were thrown around and stranded on ice

Emmerdale fans have been on the edge of their seat following the horror limo crash which has already claimed the life of one favourite character, but not everybody has been impressed by the shock scenes.

The soap world is known for going above and beyond and sometimes pushes the boundaries of believability, but some viewers are insisting the icy limo smash was a step too far on Tuesday night’s episode.

Fans watched as Amy (Natalie Ann Jamieson) was pulled from freezing water by Tracy (Amy Walsh), while others managed to make an escape from the limo as the ice cracked around them.

Fans were left wondering what had happened to Amy, Leyla, Liam and Noah as they were taken to hospital, with viewers left in limbo over who had died. Eagle-eyed viewers noticed something wasn’t quite right with the scenes though and shared their complaints on social media.

“Emmerdale come on. Ice so thin one can go through but then they can walk on it. It’s so cold the ice is thick enough to support a car but no cold breath from the actors as they speak. Cain lying on WET GRASS and no ice in the same village, come on you are making Corrie appear real,” critiqued one fan.

Viewers have criticised the lack of realism with the show

Another fan added: “Don’t see their breath seeing it’s supposed to be freezing cold.” Someone else pointed out: “You saw ice cracking then limo sink then aerial views made it look like ‘lake’ was frozen over. I get scenes aren’t shot in order but at least try…”

A viewer had a geographical query: “Since when has there been big massive ice bergs and ponds in Yorkshire?” Many were also left confused by the fact a limo company would offer car hire without a driver: “Why would a limo company offer the no driver package anyhow?!”

One joked: “Imagine explaining what happened to the limo to an insurance company, they’d never believe it…” Not everyone was a critic though, with some saying it reminded them of a smash hit film: “Emmerdale episode with the frozen lake giving Titanic vibes, no joke.”

Another praised: “That’s the best couple of episodes ever in soapland it felt like watching a film they all were fantastic each part played.” Someone else added: “Flippin ‘eck Emmerdale.”

One viewer had high praise for the production team: “Tonight’s episode of #emmerdale was a hard watch but brilliantly put together with that dramatic music – well done to all involved.”
