Emmerdale star Amy Walsh’s two famous sisters including pop icon and soap actress

Emmerdale star Amy Walsh’s shot to fame after starring in Emmerdale, and she has followed in the footsteps of one soap star sibling while another is a much-loved pop star

Emmerdale star Amy Walsh has become a household name after playing Tracy Metcalfe for a decade, but she actually has not one, but two famous siblings as well.

Success clearly runs in the family for the soap icon, who first appeared on our screens in Emmerdale as Tracy back in July 2014. One of her siblings has also appeared in Emmerdale, while the other is an A-list pop star member of Girls Aloud, who gave her sister a sweet gift for her wedding.

She was originally introduced as a love interest for Sam Dingle, and soon became a regular part of the show. The pair first met when Tracy worked on a chat line.

Tracy’s love affair with Sam wasn’t to be, as she cruelly took his money. She ended up sleeping in a barn, before finding work with Val Pollard at the B&B.

Tracy went on to marry David Metcalfe (played by Matthew Wolfenden), but she ended up falling in love with Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter).

Tracy and Nate had a baby girl, called Frankie, but sadly it seems happiness isn’t on the cards for Tracy as Nate left the village after a fight with his father Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley).

Never short of drama, Emmerdale fans have been glued to their screens following a horrifying limo crash that left one favourite dead, as they feared for Cain’s fate. However, Amy isn’t the only famous face in her family, with two familiar siblings as well.

Amy followed in her sisters footsteps on Emmerdale, as Sally Walsh also starred on the soap. She played teenager Lyn Hutchinson from 1997 to 2000.

She first appeared in January 1997 and fans saw her become friends with Kelly Windsor (Adele Silva). She soon lost friends for bullying a classmate, and then had relationships with Roy Glover (Nicky Evans), Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) and even cheated with Scott Windsor (Ben Freeman).

Amy’s sister Sally also starred in Emmerdale as troubled teen Lyn

Scott had an affair with his stepsister Kelly, so Lyn decided to leave the village. Following her turn on Emmerdale, Sally went on to star in Cold Feet, EastEnders, Coronation Street, Fat Friends, The Bill, Heartbeat and Doctors.

Amy told The Sun about what it was like joining the soap after her sister: “When I first joined Emmerdale, me, my Mum and Kimberley all sat together to watch and we had a little bit of a tea party, which was nice.”

She confessed: “None of us really watched soaps, but because Sally was in Emmerdale before, it is the one we all feel most familiar with, so it’s been nice for us to dip back into it.”

Sally and Amy’s other sister, is none other than Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh. She found fame from ITV’s Popstars: The Rivals back n in 2002.
