Martin Kemp, Toyah Willcox and Sinitta manned a 1980s style shopping ‘hotline’ to the delight of fans
Martin Kemp, Toyah Willcox and Sinitta were manning a vintage ’80s hotline, sending fans into a frenzy as they sold them retro-inspired clothing.
The trio of ’80s icons got stuck in and took calls from enthusiasts of the era. Kemp, who rocked the ’80s as Spandau Ballet’s bassist, was dishing out some “Gold” one-liners and even broke into song down the line to a gobsmacked punter.
Toyah, a veteran of the music scene with over 20 albums, got in on the action too, joking: “Don’t trust Martin, Sinitta and I to place your order – all we’re good at is singing.”
Beverly Cregor, 61, from Radlett, was over the moon, gushing: “I couldn’t believe I got to talk to Sinitta. It was totally surreal to chat to her about my style sense in the ’80s.”

This hotline comes as White Stuff, marks its 40th anniversary. Ahead of its big 4-0 bash, White Stuff hit up its clientele to find out which old school styles they were gagging for a comeback, and voila, the Rewind ’85 range was born.
Smashing out a rehash of their sweatshirt and tee original from ’85, the collection jazzes up the all-time classic “Boys” and “Girls” tees alongside a set of wicked ’80s and ’90s ski and surf-inspired half-zip sweats.
Until 6th March, fashion enthusiasts can experience shopping for 80s-inspired garments the old-school way, by dialling the hotline number on 0800 193 1985.
“We have always been about community, creativity, and a bit of fun,” said Jo Jenkins, the company’s CEO. “Our customers have been asking us to bring back some of our original designs, so what better way to celebrate our 40th birthday than with a collection inspired by our roots?”
“And, of course, we had to go all in by reviving the 80s hotline shopping experience. It’s not every day we set to work three of the era’s biggest icons in our call centre!”
