Gino D’Acampo reportedly appeared to leave a female dancer embarrassed after suggesting a threesome in an unaired clip.

The 48-year-old TV chef has been accused of “sexually inappropriate behaviour” with claims from “dozens” of people spanning over 12 years. His alleged behaviour has been described as “unacceptable, distressing and horrendous” and now ITV has pulled the star’s shows from their schedule.

The claims emerged from an ITV News probe and come from people who allegedly worked with Gino. He has “firmly denied” the allegations and said they are “deeply upsetting”.

Video obtained by The Sun, said to be from October 2023, appears to show D’Acampo suggesting a female dancer have a threesome and ask if she “prefers Italian or French men”. The awkward footage was reportedly an unaired scene from his ITV show Gino & Fred: Emission Impossible with French co-star Fred Sirieix.

In the clip filmed in Innsbruck, Austria, the pair watch a traditional Austrian dance trio – the aforementioned woman, her boyfriend and a second man – performing a bum and thigh-slapping routine. D’Acampo seems to boast to the men that he could “get” their girls without “moving a finger”.

He also allegedly tells the boyfriend that he thinks it is “very kinky” what he does and calls him a “pervert”. The star, who appears to be holding a pint of beer, suggests he and Fred try the dance and ask if they could do this “drunk”.

The pair take to the stage and replace the two Austrian men in a bid to try it for themselves. D’Acampo can be seen lifting up Fred over his shoulders and pretending to slap him in the genitals.

At the end, D’Acampo is heard telling the female dancer, who was stood between him and Fred: “Why don’t you just have a threesome?” She replies: “Uh, no.”

The TV chef turns to the audience and asks: “Everybody happy?”, to which the dancer replies: “Not me.”

It’s reported the family-based dance company complained to the show’s production firm Betty. A member of production on Emissions Impossible told The Sun the show received a number of complaints from contributors and crew and that these were “escalated to ITV” when filming was halted after a week on location in Austria.

“This was supposedly due to Gino’s ill health. But there were already concerns about his behaviour when the shoot was pulled. As part of this show Gino and Fred were going to watch them rehearse, before joining them on stage for a performance in front of the audience.

“The scene was obviously chosen for its comical nature, but Gino was briefed beforehand to be respectful. You can see in the video that the dancers are visibly uncomfortable during filming and Gino made a number of sexually inappropriate comments to them.”

It’s claimed the production company underwent a review of their duty of care protocols. The show was made in June of last year and finally aired in December after previous delays, but the previously-discussed clip of Gino, Fred and the dancers was not aired.

Responding to claims of misconduct, Gino told ITV News: “I have been told by ITN news that allegations have been made about me acting inappropriately, some dating back over ten years ago. I have never been made aware of these matters previously and the allegations are firmly denied. I would not do anything that I thought would upset or distress anyone. This is simply not in my nature. I do not recognise the version of events being put to me.

“Not only have these allegations never been raised with me before, I have been repeatedly supported by executives at the highest level and was commissioned on prime-time programmes during the period in which it is now suggested I was acting inappropriately. I am a father, husband and have worked with well over 1,500 people on around 80 productions in my career, which I have been so proud of. I take such matters extremely seriously and the suggestion that I have acted in an improper way against is deeply upsetting.”

Daily Star has approached D’Acampo, ITV and Objective, who now own Betty, for comment.
