EXCLUSIVE: Harry Potter actor Guy Lenk has teased whether he will be returning for the HBO series which is set to follow J.K.Rowling’s books “more closely” than the films
A Harry Potter star has teased whether he will be returning for the hotly-anticipated HBO series.
The famous film franchise is set to make a comeback in the form of a TV series reboot, which is set for a 2027 premiere.
Harry, Ron, Hermione, and the rest of the Hogwarts crew will be making their way back to screen 15 years after the final movie hit cinemas. But will Guy Henry, who played Ministry of Magic official Pius Thicknesse, be returning?
In a riddle-filled response, the actor exclusively shared: “Don’t let’s speak to soon…” when pressed on if he had been asked to sign up for the TV show.
When asked about his time filming the franchise, he added: “I loved doing Harry Potter. Great cast, lovely director, wonderful stories – and I still get royalties coming through every three months!”
Guy will also be appearing in new British Sci-Fi comedy film Time Travel Is Dangerous, which is out in a cinema near you, as Martin. He described his character as “a rather mean-spirited uptight nerd but I grew rather fond of him! He does get to learn a little generosity.”
Adding further about the movie, Guy said: “It’s unusual and funny and warm. It’ll probably cheer you up.
“It was such a nice crowd and it was lovely to work with Johnny Vegas – on the face of it he and I are rather different of course but we got on famously. There was lots of laughing!”
Guy is also well known for starring in Holby City as Henrik Hanssen – but the show was pulled off air in 2022. Talking about his time on the BBC show, he added: “Holby City was wonderful.
“Mr Hanssen was a terrific character and the cast and crew were truly lovely.
“I should point out it wasn’t actually a soap, it was continuing drama. An hour of telly every week… 52 hours of drama a year.
“That’s like making 26 feature films a year, a huge challenge for the writers, especially as on Holby they had only three interior sets and a car park to work with!”
