JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes’ friendship turned romantic after their time in the Celebrity Big Brother house, and it appears they’re learning more about each other every day
Dance Moms star JoJo Siwa was left in tears after Chris Hughes made a comment about her hairline. The 22-year-old has been in the spotlight since a very young age, and is known for her extremely tightly pulled back ponytail – and hair bows, which have made her millions. But because of the tension of the hairstyle on her scalp, it’s left her the victim of mean comments about her hairline.
Despite getting to know each other in the Celebrity Big Brother house, and then their relationship turning romantic afterwards, it appears Chris, 32, had no idea about this. And when he made a comment about JoJo’s hairline, it left her in tears – but not for the reason you’d expect.
Karma singer JoJo posted a TikTok video in which she was crying.
She said: “I’m drying my hair right now, and he goes: ‘You have a really good hairline.'”
Chris then comes into the frame, and he said: “You do have a good hairline, it’s really nice. I don’t get what’s made you laugh.”
JoJo explained: “No, it’s making me cry,” as Chris added: “I love your hairline.”
Getting into it, JoJo told him: “That’s like the number one thing I was bullied for as a kid, like JoJo Siwa’s hairline, number one thing.
“It’s made me destroy myself over the years and you just said it out of literal nowhere.”
Assuring him she was fine, she added: “I’m OK, it was just really nice.”
Chris told her: “You’ve got a really good head. I looked at it the other week and was like, you’ve got really good hair. I don’t get it.”
JoJo finished: “You just said that out of nowhere and it was really nice.”
Earlier this month, Chris opened up about the status of his relationship – and it seems it’s going well.
He told E! News: “She’s literally the love of my life, but she’s also my best friend. Like, we sit and do nothing together.”
The duo recently had their first date together, going to Malibu for a “lovely dinner”.
He went on: “On the way back – it was like an hour drive home – we parked up and we said to each other, ‘That was actually our first proper date together.'”
JoJo previously told TMZ: “He is my favourite person in the world… It’s beautiful, it kind of radiates. He’s my favourite person and I am very grateful and very happy.”
