Controversial rapper Kanye West had asked for P Diddy to be freed in a foul-mouthed online rant.

The star, who stirred up drama at the Grammys by turning up with wife Bianca Censori in a completely see-through dress, took to X to send a plea to President Donald Trump. The 47-year-old appeared to ignore the allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs, which include sex trafficking and racketeering.

In the first message, Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband simply wrote: “FREE PUFF.” Puff is another monicker Diddy has used.

Tagging President Trump in a post on Instagram, Kanye wrote: “Please free my brother Puff.” The comments came as he announced a collaboration with the jailed music mogul.

Kanye took aim at other celebrities for watching “our brother rot and never say s***”. He uploaded a video showing a FaceTime call with Diddy’s son Christian.

He went on: “A son to his dad for every son who dad is locked up write or wrong I want y’all to listen to Dave Chapelle’s jokes very close this time let’s see how funny it gets when families are separated especially black families [sic].”

Kanye continued: “What y’all gone do cancel my sneaker deal cancel my record deal freeze my accounts f*** all y’all n***** slavery is a choice I’m speaking my mind now I ain’t editing s*** again ever [sic].”

The collaboration between Kanye and Diddy’s own label Sean John was “discussed before they locked [Diddy] up”, Kanye said. It currently contains five plain T-shirts with “Sean John” scrawled across them.

The T-shirts – and much of Kanye’s other Yeezy merch – appears to be available for just £17 if fans are so inclined.

Kanye’s posts were met with backlash from his followers though. Many criticised the launch of the Diddy collab.

One person wrote: “It’s hard being a Ye fan.” Another wrote: “No one wearing this Ye keep Diddy in jail.”

Someone else said: “This is wild. You have TWO daughters.” And another added: “Can’t defend this, like it’s not even funny or controversial it’s just lame.”
