It’s all over before it truly kicked off for one Love Island All Stars pair, as Marcel Somerville and Olivia Hawkins have reportedly ended things just days after strutting out of the South African villa together. It comes after a number of villa exits, including Ron Hall who decided to leave after failing to find a connection.

Marcel and Olivia were given the boot by viewers who voted them as the least compatible twosome. Post-exit, Marcel gave Daily Star an update on their relationship.

But now, a source spilled the beans to The Sun revealing: “Olivia and Marcel ended things a few days ago. Things just weren’t working out, outside the villa, and it was better to end things as friends rather than force anything.

“They really are good mates though – they speak all the time and have a lot of respect for each other, but it’s no longer romantic.”

Hints that their romance might be on the rocks emerged when Olivia played coy on the Sisters In The City Podcast. Keeping quiet while chatting with former Islander Anna Vakili and sis Mandi, she didn’t say much on her status with Marcel.

Olivia recently addressed the question about being “closed off” in her latest romantic entanglement, confidently responding: “No definitely not closed off. You know what, it’s like when you come out of the villa there’s so much pressure on you and we’re not together, we’re still getting to know each other. We were only coupled up for a week – it’s very early days.”

She highlighted: “He’s officially still married, he’s still going through a divorce, so obviously the situation in Love Island was … you don’t think about that, but when you come out you have to think about the logistics of things.”

Recalling her stint on Love Island All Stars, Olivia confessed she felt a certain spark with co-star Luca Bish, saying he gave her “fire in her belly”. On whether she shared similar vibes with Marcel, she coyly remarked with a smile: “I mean it could grow.”

Her comment led Mandi to jokingly chime in: “No, it’s not there,” which prompted a round of laughter, reports OK!.

Looking back at her exit from the show, Olivia revealed: “When our names got called I actually wasn’t that surprised, I did think after the whole chat with Luca that it was a possibility. I think all three couples in the bottom deserved to be there and I just believe that whatever happens, happens and if it was my time to go then it was my time to go.”
