Love Island podcast host Amy Hart was forced to miss filming of The Morning After podcast after falling ill with a three-week illness that’s been hanging around
A Love Island presenter was forced to pull out of an episode due to an illness.
Amy Hart, who appeared on Love Island in 2019, was due to film the latest episode of The Morning After podcast, which she hosts with Love Island star Indiyah Polack. However, she had to give it a miss as she fell ill with a sickness that’s lingered for three weeks.
Hart, who welcomed son Stanley with husband Sam Rason in 2023, took to Instagram to update fans. She revealed that she had been “dripping in sweat and shivering” due to the nasty illness and realised she needed to take some time out in order to get better.
She wrote: “No podcast for me this evening after three weeks of ‘pushing through because surely I’ll have to get better at some point, I can’t be ill forever?! I’ve realised I’m never going to get better if I don’t rest.”
The reality star was feeling brighter but then took a turn for the worse earlier this week. She explained: “I had a half day reprieve on Monday where I thought I was better but then on the way home, I thought my throat felt a bit sore,” she went on to say.
“I’ve now got swollen glands, earache and swing between being dripping in sweat and being so cold I’m shivering in a thermal base layer, big thick jumper, huge duvet and a blanket.”
However, Amy reassured fans that she should be back in business soon. “I’m hoping if I can sleep for a 12 hours tonight, I’ll be back tomorrow,” she added.
It comes after she reacted to her villa ex Curtis Pritchard having his head turned by bombshell Danielle Sellers during this year’s series of All Stars. Curtis has been striking up a flame with Ekin-Su on the series, but showed interest in Danielle when he was invited to the hideaway with her.
Amy said Curtis should have done more to reassure Davide’s ex Ekin. Amy herself was dumped by Curtis for Maura Higgins during the 2019 series, and this prompted Amy to leave the villa early.
She said on her Morning After podcast: “When Curtis and I were together, he got invited on a date with Molly-Mae in the hot tub in the hideaway and he said to me, ‘you’ve got nothing to worry about, I’m gonna tell her about how great Tommy is’.
“And then when he came back, he came straight to me and he was like, ‘you’re gonna love her, she’s amazing, you’re gonna get on really well and you’ve got nothing to worry about.’
Going on she said: “But I feel like he needed to give Ekin-Su a lot more reassurance, he just said, ‘stay beautiful’, and walked off.”
