Ella Morgan spilled the beans on how she discovered JJ’s romance with Katie, and even gave her blessing to the couple, despite the showbiz icon dating her former lover
A Married At First Sight UK star says she’s good pals with Katie Price – despite her dating her ex.
Ella Morgan first shot to fame when she became the first trans woman to appear on the E4 show, eventually coupling up with JJ Slater, before things came crumbling down. Since then, she has appeared on the likes of Celebs Go Dating, and has undergone a massive transformation – revealing she had eight surgeries in one day.
Speaking to Love Island star Olivia Attwood, Ella has admitted that JJ’s new relationship with showbiz legend Katie is not causing her any problems. In fact, the reality titan says that she and the Pricey are incredibly good friends, despite JJ now dating Katie.
Chatting on Olivia’s So Wrong It’s Right Podcast, Ella was asked how she found out JJ was seeing Katie. The Channel 4 star explained that after the pair separated at the end of Married at First Sight, she and JJ kept in contact.
“I was then invited to a certain event – that I didn’t end up going to, probably because I was recovering from some surgery, knowing me,” Ella joked. “I have a group chat with some of the MAFS girls, and one of them says, ‘Oh! I’ve heard through the grapevine that something’s going on with JJ and Katie.”
Ella then went on to explain that she was already aware of the pair’s blossoming relationship before the story hit the headlines. Despite this, Ella insisted she “didn’t care” about the fact the couple were together, and went on to support the lovebirds as they embarked on a new relationship.
“I love Katie, she’ll always be iconic,” Ella beamed. “We still message now, like I love her!
“I don’t have any bad blood with JJ,” she added. “It’s just that he’s just a bit of an ex now.”
It comes as Ella continues to move on from her six-month whirlwind romance with Alex James Ali, whom she met on Celebs Go Dating last year. The pair fell madly in love with each other after they immediately felt a connection whilst on the show, but back in December, the pair officially confirmed they had gone their separate ways.
Taking to her Instagram page, she penned: “I’ve had a lot of questions over the last week or so regarding my relationship with Alex following the articles announcing we had split over Christmas. I was hoping to do this in my own time after the festive period so I could focus on spending time with my family.
“Unfortunately we made the decision to separate in December and I am so saddened by the decision, but it was the right thing to do to protect myself and, ultimately, for us to both be happy,” she added. “I’m incredibly grateful for Celebs Go Dating and the amazing team who introduced us.”
