Netflix’s newest reality show follows wealthy women in one of the world’s most exclusive postcodes
Netflix’s newest reality series gives viewers a glimpse into the lives of five affluent women living in one of the globe’s most exclusive locales, Palm Beach, as they traverse its competitive social landscape.
All eight episodes of Members Only: Palm Beach were released on the streaming service today (December 29), offering an insight into the glamorous lives of property developer Hilary Musser, wellness tycoon Taja Abitbol, philanthropist Rosalyn Yellin, entrepreneur Ro-mina Ustayev and DJ Maria Cozamanis.
According to Netflix’s synopsis: “Set within the exclusive enclaves of Palm Beach County, Members Only follows a group of women navigating the unspoken rules, inherited traditions and high-stakes hierarchies of America’s most rarefied social circles.
“In this manicured world of privilege and private clubs, reputations are built over brunch, alliances shift over champagne, and while wealth is ubiquitous, power, influence and access are the true currency.”
Despite her cheerful demeanour on the show, socialite Rosalyn experienced a devastating family loss before the series premiered on Netflix. In an Instagram post shared earlier this year, the star revealed that her 103-year-old grandmother, who was a Holocaust survivor, had passed away, reports the Mirror.
In a heartfelt statement, Rosalyn told her followers: “It is with a heavy heart I’d like to share with you that my 103-year-old grandmother passed away peacefully. My grandmother was a Holocaust survivor. She was a very strong woman who fled the Nazis escaping and hiding throughout Europe and Turkey and finally made her way to Palestine. She was caught several times taken to camps and even jail.”
She went on: “She had deep scars in her back from being whipped and her scars haunted me as a child. After the war, she reunited with my grandfather who had helped her flee the Nazis.
“While working with the Jewish underground to help save lives during the Holocaust, my grandfather was captured and taken to Auschwitz. Days away from death, he was liberated by the Americans. My grandmother and grandfather have amazing stories of survival, resilience, praying for a brighter future and a strong belief in God.”
She revealed that her cherished grandmother left behind a “legacy” of six grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren when she died.
On the programme, Rosalyn confesses it was her lifelong ambition to relocate to Palm Beach after bringing up her five children. She has now enjoyed five series in the area where she organises charity events and spends time with her mentor, Gale Brophy.
