Some fans have been left frustrated after Ticketmaster cancelled their orders, with the company refunding anyone they believed had used ‘bots’ to make their purchase
A number of Oasis fans have had their joy crushed after Ticketmaster refunded their tickets for the band’s much-anticipated reunion tour. The Gallagher brothers, reuniting after a 15-year feud, set off ticket pandemonium last autumn as they announced a host of global gigs set for later this year.
Tickets were gold dust when they dropped, with ticketing sites overwhelmed by millions of chasing Brits desperate to catch Liam and Noel live on stage together once again. But now, five months on, some successful applicants have seen their tickets cancelled by the ticketing giant.
Ticketmaster previously flagged it would cancel bookings believed to be snapped up by ‘bots’ breaking sale rules. One fan, Jen, was left up in arms after her purchase was axed and she took to X to vent: “If 2025 could actually get any worse – now I don’t even have this to look forward to any more. Denying legit fans their tickets.”

Jen relayed an email from Ticketmaster that stated: “Following the messaging on the artist’s social media in the run up to the Oasis Live ’25 on sale, the tour’s promoters have requested the refunding of your order for the below event. It has been identified that bots were used to make the purchase, which violates the tour’s terms and conditions.”
It continued: “These terms and conditions were specifically established to limit resale of tickets on unauthorised ticketing platforms for profit. Fans have been strongly advised by all parties not to purchase tickets from unauthorised resale sites, to protect them from fraud or refunding.”
Jen later followed up her post, adding: “They’re gone – order cancelled. I’m doing what I can to try and reverse it but am sure @ticketmasteruk is just going to say too bad so sad.”
Meanwhile, another disappointed fan shared: “Yeah me too! Tickets cancelled and I can’t work out why! I bought them in the presale and just got lucky. Or so I thought. Proper kick to the stomach.” A third chimed in with their frustration: “Same has happened to us. Fuming is an understatement.”
Whilst a fourth person who was also affected, penned: “Same happened to us! Bought them legitimately and now out of the blue cancelled.”
In response, a spokesperson for Ticketmaster stated: “All details can be found on Ticketmaster and/or See Tickets FAQ pages. As per the email communications sent by both Ticketmaster and See Tickets, anyone who has been contacted and believes a refund was made in error has been sent a form to fill in for the tour’s promoters to review.”
Ticketmaster also reached out to Jen personally within the replies to her post, stating: “We are in touch and working with Jen directly on this.”
