Oscars 2025 goes James Bond crazy with Raye, Doja Cat and Kpop medley

The celebration of the legendary franchise comes after Jeff Bezos’s Amazon acquired its rights earlier this year, and featured a range of superstar names and classic tracks

The 97th Academy Awards delivered a stunning and eye-catching tribute to the James Bond franchise, with a trio of female artists in Lisa, Doja Cat, and Raye taking center stage for the show-stopping 007 musical medley.

Halle Berry, who famously played Bond girl Jinx in Die Another Day (2002), introduced the performance, celebrating Bond’s classic mix of danger, style, and intrigue as well as celebrating Barbara Broccoli, the franchise’s longtime producer.

The tribute started with The Substance star Margaret Qualley, who took part in a beautifully choreographed dance routine before handing the spotlight to KPOP star Lisa.

The BLACKPINK member made history as the first South Korean idol to ever perform at the Oscars, and she did it in eye-catching style, by descending from the ceiling to belt out Live and Let Die , originally recorded by Paul Mccartney’s Wings in 1973.

Next up, Juicy and Say So singer Doja Cat channelled her in Shirley Bassey with her rendition of the 1971 classic Diamonds Are Forever .

With a backdrop channeling Bond’s iconic opening sequences, Doja’s impressed with her sultry vocals and fierce energy, leaving audience spellbound.

Performing the final leg of the medley, our very own Raye delivered a powerhouse performance of Adele’s Oscar-winning 2012 theme, Skyfall .

The Brit Award winner stunned in a black-and-white gown, a nod to Bond’s classic tuxedo, as a full orchestra backed her extraordinary vocals.

The performance earned a standing ovation, with fans on social media going wild over the star-studded Bond tribute.
