P Diddy sex assault lawsuit dismissed as accuser refuses to reveal identity

A lawsuit against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been dismissed after the accuser refused to reveal their identity – the case was thrown out by a federal judge in court

P Diddy has scored a legal victory as a federal judge chucked out a lawsuit against him. The case was thrown out after the accuser refused to reveal her identity.

This is the second time lawyers Anthony Buzbee and Antigone Curis have seen their case against Diddy get dismissed.

Combs’ defence team commented: “Today a federal judge dismissed a lawsuit filed against Mr. Combs by Texas attorney Anthony Buzbee and his local counsel Antigone Curis on behalf of an anonymized plaintiff.

“This is now the second case brought by these attorneys against Mr. Combs that has been dismissed in its entirety. It will not be the last.”

They added: “For months, we have seen case after case filed by individuals hiding behind anonymity, pushed forward by attorneys more focused on media headlines than legal merit.

“The other claims, like the one dismissed today, also will not hold up in a court of law.”

Last month saw Combs face a rough patch with his legal team amid a crisis. The scandal-hit music mogul is awaiting trial over charges including sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy.

Combs has denied all accusations and is being held in jail until the trial starts on May 5, 2025.

In a dramatic twist, last month saw his lawyer Anthony Ricco ditch the defence team, leaving behind a no-nonsense statement.

Ricco dropped a bombshell, stating “under no circumstances can I continue to effectively serve as counsel for Sean Combs”, in a legal document that hit the New York courts. The paperwork also mentioned that talks with head lawyer Mark Agnifilo and Ricco himself took place before they made it official.

Ricco’s keeping quiet on the reasons why he’s bowing out, making it clear he won’t talk further to explain his decision.

The attorney assured that his exit won’t effect the upcoming trial in May.

Meanwhile, Combs, 55, is waiting for the next date and is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York.

A spokesperson Combs has previously commented: “As Mr. Combs’ legal team has emphasized, he cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus.”

They added: “That said, Mr. Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors.

“He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation.”
