Curtis Pritchard has spoke out about his recent split from Love Island bombshell Maura Higgins and isn’t withholding any of the intimate details either.
The professional dancer says he was left “hurt” by the separation and was shocked that Maura had “announced” their split “on social media hours later”.
The reality TV stars hit it off on Love Island 2019 and were absolutely besotted with one another while on the show.
However their relationship didn’t last the test of time and the pair called time on their relationship last month, via a phone call.
Making the end of their romance official, Maura, 29, took to her Instagram stories to share the news with her 2.8 million followers on the digital app.

She penned: “Curtis and I have made the decision to separate.
“We enjoyed a great experience from our time in the villa and want to thank everyone for supporting our relationship.
“There is no easy way to get through a break-up and no bad feeling on either side. We tried to make it work but it wasn’t to be and I wish Curtis nothing but the best for the future.”
It would seem that the public offering did sit well with Curtis who suggested he wanted time to digest everything before announcing to the nation.

The former couple seemed to share a difference of opinion on the decision to go public with the information, with neither of them speaking to each other since.
Speaking to the Sun Online Curtis opened-up about his thoughts and feelings, revealing: “It hurt. I wasn’t ready for everyone to know we had split up — I wanted some time. It was a shock to see that she had announced it on social media hours later.”
Not long after Curtis’ and Maura’s break-up, rumours started to surface that she had sparked up a relationship with her professional Dancing On Ice partner Alex Demetriou, who is married.

Alex was even spotted leaving Maura’s home on one occasion which led to much speculation about the pair.
Speaking about rumours, Curtis said: “It’s not nice to read about.”
“I have no proof that anything more has happened between them. I don’t like to think about it.
“I don’t want to look back over the past few months for warning signs. But it’s not nice to read about her relationship with Alex and to see pictures of them together.”
Maura has slammed the rumours though, telling The Sun on Sunday’s Fabulous magazine: “Alex and I are so close – we’ve trained together for months.
“Obviously, we’re going to be close, exactly like every other partner on the show. But that’s it. We’re very close friends and we get on well.
“We have such a laugh, and we’re still going to be friends.”
She added: “No matter what’s said, I’m not going to be afraid to hang out with him. I’ve said to him: ‘I still want to go ice skating’.”
A representative of Alex Demetriou has been contacted by Daily Star Online.
