Sam Smith has told fans they feel ‘sad and down’ in lockdown after admitting that the prospect of three more weeks in self-isolation and the thought of those battling on the NHS frontline now feels very real.
Speaking on Instagram live on Thursday evening, Sam said: “I’ve been feeling bit down today.
“Here in England they have announced three more weeks of lockdown… it’s feeling pretty real right now.
“I’m coming to terms that this is it.”
Admitting they’re unable to keep themself entertained in lockdown, Sam continued: “I am running out of thing to do.
“I need to read but I just can’t bring myself to read.

“I feel more tired now, it is weird I think the more you sleep the more tired you get as I am shattered.
“I tried a workout and it was f***ing hell – two hours of sitting there staring into space making excuses.
“Eventually I got up and and did a 40 mins cardio thing and I do feel better but the feeling before is the worst.”
Seemingly backtracking on their infamous mansion lockdown meltdown which sparked widespread fury, Sam, who dropped their new single with Demi Lovato today, said: “I can’t complain right now.

“I am healthy and my family have their health right now but what is getting me down and making me sad is thinking about everyone out there working right now on the frontline.
“I can’t even begin to imagine how hard that is, how traumatic it must be to witness the effects of everything up front. It must be really hard.
“So I want to say thank you fro the purest part of my heart.
“Thank you as you are saving us and you are dragging us through this.

“I really hope you get paid more and I hope you get the respect what you deserve because you are so important to us and you are keeping us alive and afloat.”
GMB host Piers Morgan previously demanded Sam ‘gets a grip’ after they posted about finding it hard in self isolation.
Taking to Twitter, Piers fumed: “FFS. I can’t take any more of this celebrity attention-seeking b******t.
“Get a grip, the lot of you. This is a war, not an Instagram story op.”
