Kanye West's family concerned over 'bipolar disorder impacting his decisions'

Kanye West recently announced he is running for president in the 2020 elections.

However, after sharing his White House dreams, it has been claimed those close to him think his statements have been influenced by a serious bipolar episode.

Doubters were quick to share their viewpoints on the rapper’s presidential declaration and branded it all a “publicity stunt”, however, a source told People magazine this is not the case.

According to the source, the rapper “genuinely believes he can make the country better.”

“That sentiment is not a publicity stunt. He really believes that.”

TMZ recently claimed the father-of-four, who has been previously open about his mental health struggles, is “in the mist of a serious bipolar bout” and his family and those close to him are worried.

And his proclamations are allegedly causing problems within his family.

In Season 2 of Letterman’s Netflix series, “My Guest Needs No Introduction,” the Kanye talked candidly about the frightening places his bipolar disorder has taken him — including to the heights of being “hyper-paranoid” and into a hospital where, he said, he was handcuffed and separated from his loved ones.

West also acknowledged that there are people “who can’t function without medication,” according to Complex.

“I’m not advocating. I’m telling you my specific story,” he said.

Kayne’s recent interview with Forbes Magazine raised concern among many when the All of the Lights hitmaker denounced abortion, compared his vision for America to the fictional Wakanda, and made false claims about vaccinations and expressed hesitancy in receiving one.

It comes after he announced his bid for president on Fourth of July, tweeting: “We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future.

“I am running for president of the United States Flag of United States! #2020VISION.”

Kanye, who publicly said he was a Trump supporter, was soon backed by a number of celebrities, including Elon Musk.

The Tesla CEO said: “You have my full support!,” while wife Kim Kardashian retweeted Kanye’s statement and added an American flag.

But it seems Elon is reconsidering his political choices after he was quizzed by a Twitter follower.

Asked on Twitter how he could still consider supporting Kanye after reading the ill-fated Forbes interview, Musk admitted: “We may have more differences of opinion than I anticipated.”
