Katie Price wants son Harvey to meet half-brother as she urges Dwight to see son

Katie Price has hit out at son Harvey’s dad Dwight Yorke for not getting in touch especially when Harvey was seriously ill in intensive care, urging the football star that her “door is alway open”.

The 42-year-old also shared her disappointment that her eldest son doesn’t even know his half-sibling Orlando, who was born in 2007.

She does not know if Orlando even has any idea that Harvey is his big brother.

The mum-of-five, who raised her disabled son as a single parent, wants Dwight to catch a glimpse of her new BBC documentary and in hope that he’ll later find the heart to reach out to Harvey.

In an interview with The Sun, the reality star said: “His dad has never stuck up for him. It’s a weird one – I don’t know why and I don’t understand why he doesn’t want to be in touch.

“I would love Dwight to watch the documentary and reach out to Harvey. I’ve always said the door is open for Dwight when he wants to get in touch.

“At the end of the day Harvey has done nothing wrong, he’s innocent and deserves to know his dad and meet his half-brother.”

Back in July last year, Katie lashed out at at the pundit for not checking in on his son after he’d been taken into the intensive care unit.

At the time, Harvey had burned up a dangerously high temperature at 42C and was also struggling to breathe.

The angry former glamour model, said: “If you know your son is in intensive care and there’s a chance he could die, as a human being with feelings you should get in contact.”

The news comes after Katie had to make the heart-breaking decision to put the 18-year-old who is autistic and had Prader-Willi syndrome into care.

It wasn’t a choice that the My Crazy Life star took lightly and she certainly didn’t want Harvey to think she was “just getting rid of him”.

Due to Harvey’s autism, his behaviour can often be unpredictable, causing him to headbutt walls and lash out without warning.

As he’s becoming more unmanageable, the reality star reached the tough conclusion that it would be better for the teen to live in a residential college, also giving him some more independence.

In spite of her agony of not being able to see Harvey every day, Katie knows it’s the right thing to do as he’ll have access to specialistic care around the clock.

Katie’s new show Harvey and Me will air on January 25, on BBC.
