Hollywood star Kate Winslet is no stranger when it comes to stripping off for intimate sex scenes but she revealed that they haven’t always ran smoothly and at times had left her feeling quite “awkward”.
The 45-year-old Oscar winning actress spoke out during a discussion about the role of intimacy coordinators.
Praising their work in the movie world, she wished that trusty love scene advisors had been on-hand when she first started out in the film business.
The acclaimed actress, who shot to fame in the 90s, explained there had been some instances where co-stars had become too handsy, leaving her no choice but to instigate embarrassing conversation.

However with intimate organisers now in play, she no longer needs to have those discussions which has made Kate feel more at ease when it comes to things getting steamy on camera.
Speaking to The Daily Mail about sex scene facilitators and explicit scenes in the past, the TV and film star added: “I definitely wish I had them in the past.
“I could have done with that friend.
“You could just do with someone saying, ‘Can you ask him not to put his hand there’, so it wasn’t me having to say, ‘Can you not put your hand there’, which can be pretty awkward.
“It might have made a difference to me over the years.”
When it comes to explicit scenes the award winning actress has numerous claims to fame, including The Reader, Revolutionary Road, Titanic and Little Children.
Only last year, Kate sparked quite a frenzy as she took centre stage on the period drama Ammonite that televised racy sex scenes with actress Saoirse Ronan.
The Titanic icon and Saoirse, 26, certainly caused quite a stir with their believable and temperature soaring performances.
Kate previously explained to The Hollywood Reporter that she had felt most “proud” of her work Ammonite than any other love scene.
She told the publication: “Saoirse and I choreographed the scene ourselves. It’s definitely not like eating a sandwich. I just think Saoirse and I, we just felt really safe.
“[Director Francis Lee] was naturally very nervous. And I just said to him, ‘Listen, let us work it out.’ And we did. ‘We’ll start here. We’ll do this with the kissing, boobs, you go down there, then you do this, then you climb up here.’
“I felt the proudest I’ve ever felt doing a love scene on ‘Ammonite.’ And I felt by far the least self-conscious.”
