In the fiery new trailer for the upcoming new season of The Hills: New Beginnings, Kim Kardashian’s former step-brother Brody Jenner brands Kaitlynn Carter’s relationship with Miley Cyrus “gnarly”.
In the clip, Brody and ex-wife Kaitlynn reflected on their marriage and their decision to bring it to an end – and the reality star didn’t hold back.
Not mincing his words in the slightest, he admitted that Kaitlynn moving on with Miley Cyrus came as a “shock” to him.
According to Brody, he claimed that he only found out about Kaitlynn and Miley’s relationship through the press like everyone else.

In the trailer, he said: “The circumstances of what happened after our split catered to that negative s***.
“The whole lesbian thing was gnarly, because in our entire relationship you never expressed that you had any interest in females whatsoever,” to which Kaitlynn replied: “I don’t think that’s fair or totally true to say.”
Brody continued: “We had some fun, but what I’m saying, yes, but you said to me that you weren’t into girls.”

Carter explained: “Well, I think I had never just met somebody that I was into.”
Brody and Kaitlynn got married in 2018 and the pair split a year later.
Following the split, Kaitlynn went on to date Miley Cyrus and the pair were seen kissing each other on a trip to Italy which they documented on Instagram.
The fling was short-lived and Kaitlynn has previously admitted that she was “mortified” and “naive” with all the attention that she started to get due to her dating the Wrecking Ball singer.
In the trailer for the upcoming season of the reality show, the pair also shared their individual viewpoints on why their relationship didn’t work out, with Brody citing the pressure to have kids.
The former couple also discussed their relationship now as they admitted that they’re better off as friends.
Brody said: “I think our relationship ran its course. After we had our split, it was obviously tough for both of us.
“After some time had passed, I realised, this is where our lives are going. We’re gonna be separated, we’re not gonna be together, but let’s still be in each other’s lives and still maintain a friendship and a love.”
