Kerry Katona has hit out at BBC bosses, claiming they won’t sign her up to Strictly Come Dancing because she had an OnlyFans account.
The 40-year-old explained that she’d “love” to compete for the famous glitterball trophy but believes her chances have been hindered due to sharing explicit content on the over 18s site.
She also pondered over whether chiefs of the programme would overlook her application as the starlet had previously competed on ITV’s Dancing On Ice back in 2011.
The songstress said it’s “disgusting” that in this day and age she doesn’t live up to Strictly’s etiquette while demanding for shift in attitude.
Speaking in an interview with OK! about her chances on the show, she said: “I’d love to do Strictly, but I don’t think they’ll have me because I did Dancing on Ice and I just don’t think I’m BBC material.”
The mum-of-five added: “I think because I do OnlyFans, they probably wouldn’t have me for the show, which is absolutely disgusting because they have so many actresses on there.”
She fumed: “The word actress back in the day was a word for prostitute.
“So people’s stigma and morals of how it all works, it baffles me.”
The BBC has declined to comment on the matter.
It isn’t the first time that Kerry had needed to address her OnlyFans account after she came to blows with Real Housewives star Tessa Hartman in an episode of Good Morning Britain.
The ladies appeared on the breakfast programme to debate whether it was right or wrong for girls as young as nine to wear padded bikinis.
Kerry was adamant in her protest that it was “simply wrong” but was challenged by Tessa who branded her hypocritical because she opted to share steamy content online.
Getting her point across, Tessa said: “There are a lot of things out there that sexualise children, like social media sites like OnlyFans – but when it comes to the modesty of a young girl…”
Firing back, Kerry fumed: “OnlyFans is an over-18 site, nobody is putting that to a nine-year-old child.”
