Piers Morgan reacts to James Bond rumours after teasing Daniel Craig replacement

Piers Morgan has responded to mounting rumours that he’ll be stepping in to replace Daniel Craig as the next James Bond – and he’s rather pleased with the “result”.

The former Good Morning Britain host whipped up a storm on social media when he hinted that he’d willingly take on the iconic 007 role now that Daniel Craig has stepped down.

The 56-year-old TV star couldn’t resist teasing his fans that he was ditching journalism for top-secret-spy-work when he attended a screening event for the latest Bond film, No Time To Die.

Taking to social media, Piers could be seen channeling his inner-Bond as he sported a suave suit to the glam event, which was held at London’s Burlington Arcade.

Behind smirking Piers was a huge 007 sign on the wall as he put his own playful spin on the iconic Bond catchphrase seen in the hit franchise.

On Twitter he joked with his fans, suggesting he’d just been cast as the latest Bond when he wrote: “BREAKING: Daniel Craig’s replacement as 007 finally revealed…”

He then followed up by posting the dapper photo on Instagram, penning: “The name’s Morgan… Piers Morgan. #TimeToDie”.

Now, Piers has reacted to the whirlwind Bond rumours, and he seemed very pleased with himself as he took to Instagram Stories.
