Meghan Markle will 'always be compared to Diana', says Real Housewives' Seema

Real Housewives of Cheshire’s Seema Malhotra has opened up, sharing her thoughts on Meghan Markle’s fashion choices and her similarities to Diana, Princess of Wales.

The businesswoman who runs Forever Unique, a global fashion brand, believes that the Duchess of Sussex and her late mother-in-law share a similar style of clothing.

Seema, 50, has dressed everybody from Beyoncé, Holly Willoughby, Ashley Roberts and Amanda Holden and is one of the celeb ‘go-to designers’ in the fashion industry.

In an exclusive chat with Daily Star, the entrepreneur revealed that she is a huge fan of Meghan, 40, and her sister-in-law, Catherine the Duchess of Cambridge, 39.

“I really like Meghan, I really like her style and I think any member of The Royal Family, they always have a certain, classy, sophisticated style,” she explained.

The mum-of-two added: “You’re not going to see her rocking up in a crop top or hot pants, there’s a certain standard, I think everyone will be compared to Diana.

“We might say ‘Oh look at Kate’ or ‘Oh look at Meghan’, I think they will always be compared to Diana.”

Seema went on to say: “I love her style, I think she looks absolutely stunning, I’m sure she’s very much her own person and I love all their style, it’s very sophisticated, I love it.

“I don’t see [the comparison] as a bad thing, I loved Diana’s style.”

Last year, Seema was floored when a regular CT scan picked up a lump at the bottom of her breast, leaving her racked with anxiety.

Speaking about her ordeal, she said: “I’d gone in for a CT scan of my stomach for my ovaries as I’ve got some ovarian cysts and by chance, it caught the lower half of my breast.

“My cysts were fine, I am going to get my ovaries removed but they’ve hit this lump in my breast and at the time it was horrible.

“Thank God it wasn’t anything serious but if it was, I would have caught it early, it’s so important, if you find a lump, go and get it checked.”

The businesswoman documented her journey on the programme and hoped that it would inspire other women to check their breasts.

“For me, what was an awful time and my story being mapped out on the show, I wanted it to be, either way, if it had been a worst-case scenario, I didn’t care,” she explained.

She added: “I just thought ‘if this helps another person that’s going through something’, it makes you realise your health is your wealth.”

Seema told us: “I only got through that because I had those girls [housewives co-stars] by my side, to go through that two/three weeks but they pulled me through it.”

The Real Housewives of Cheshire returns to ITVBe on Mondays at 9pm and the ITV Hub
