Frankie Bridge 'signs up for I'm A Celeb' following in husband Wayne's footsteps

Frankie Bridge is reportedly heading to Gwrych Castle as she is set to take part in I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! this year.

The singer from The Saturdays, who has moved into the world of TV as a regular on Loose Women, is said to have been offered a huge deal by ITV bosses to sign up to the show.

In doing so 32-year-old Frankie is following in the footsteps of her husband Wayne Bridge, 42.

The former Chelsea, Manchester City and England footballer finished fifth in 2016 having braved it out at the show’s normal location in Australia.

A source told The Sun: “Wayne really enjoyed his time in the Australian jungle, and Frankie is looking forward to giving the show a go too. She is pretty excited.

“She is nervous about leaving Wayne and the boys for such a long time, but she is determined to give the challenge her all and really throw herself in.

“Though with the show in Wales this year, Wayne unfortunately won’t be much help for tips.”

The pair have been married since July 2014

This will be the second consecutive year that I’m a Celeb hasn’t taken place in Australia, having been moved to the UK last year due to Covid restrictions.

Wayne will be accompanied by their two sons, eight-year-old Parker and six-year-old Carter, as he relaxes to watch his wife complete gruelling challenges.

The Daily Star has contacted ITV for comment.

Earlier this month, Frankie stunned fans when she rocked up to the Attitude Awards in a skin-tight, latex Yves Saint Laurent dress.

The stunning red outfit sparked debate on Loose Women as the panellists discussed wearing latex.

Kaye Adams described Frankie as “sensational” and “stunning”, before asking “how many bottles of talc” she needed to get into the outfit.

Frankie said: “I didn’t need any – everyone at the party asked did you have to use lube and I said no, only oil on the outside to make it extra shiny – but that’s it.”
