A ghost cursed Richard Madeley and is trying to ruin this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! a psychic claims.
Helen Lawson says vengeful spirits at Gwrych Castle are responsible for a series of events that have dogged the ITV series.
The clairvoyant also predicted the ghoul could target EastEnders star Adam Woodyatt next.
Daytime telly favourite Richard mysteriously fell and left the show last week before Storm Arwen caused “significant damage” to the set in Abergele and led to filming being halted.
Helen said: “I do think that the spirits may not be happy. With Richard Madeley I actually thought the lighter spirits, like the countess of the castle, would like him.
“Maybe the darker spirits got him.
“There are darker spirits there, he would have seen them because he has seen a ghost, Richard Madeley.”
Helen added: “It’s the stronger ones they are usually drawn to – dark spirits like poltergeists like a challenge.
“Richard was strong but they have pulled him down. I think Adam Woodyatt is next.”
Helen went on: “The castle has been derelict for years and the spirits have remained there.
“So to have all the celebs gatecrashing their home, some will like them and some will want them to leave.
“Darker spirits can force you out. They can make you feel poorly for no reason, which is very similar to what happened to Richard.”
The spirit of the Countess of Dundonald Winifred Cochrane, who died in 1923, is said to prowl the castle in north Wales along with her “tyrannical husband” the Earl of Dundonald – as does the poltergeist of a former butler, says Gwrych Castle Preservation Trust.
It warns guests: “Real-life ghost encounters by visitors to Gwrych Castle are commonplace.”
Arwen battered the Grade I-listed 19th Century battlements, causing the celebs to be evacuated and live filming to be abandoned between Friday and Tuesday. And an intruder caused a scare after reportedly evading security and reaching the castle walls.
