Sally Dynevor spills details of secret Dancing On Ice WhatsApp group with Corrie stars

Sally Dynevor has revealed that she is now part of an unlikely WhatsApp group for soap stars.

It seems the 58-year-old actress has been calling in support from some familiar Dancing on Ice faces and colleagues of hers at Coronation Street.

In a recent interview, Sally revealed that she has created a chat which is strictly for Corrie stars who have competed on the ITV skating show in the past.

Having played Sally Webster on the cobbles for 36-years, it’s safe to say that the TV star has racked up quite a few contacts over the years.

If previous shows are anything to go by then the likes of Faye Brookes, Samia Longchambon, Brooke Vincent, Andy Whyment, Lisa George and Jane Danson could all be dishing out useful tips.

Speaking with Fabulous magazine, she said: “I’ve set up a ‘Corrie Dancing On Ice’ WhatsApp group. They’ve been brilliant and really encouraging.

“I need their support and to give me tips on how they coped.

” It’s really interesting hearing all their stories and what they went through, because I’m going through exactly the same thing.”

In 2009, Sally battled breast cancer – after suffering the illness and seeing through the Covid-19 pandemic she has a completely different outlook on life.

Which was one reason she decided to plunge herself into the deep end and try something outside of her comfort zone – ice skating.

Discussing her motivation for the 14th series, Sally explained that she wanted to face some of her biggest fears head on.

She told the publication: “After lockdown and everything that happened, I’ve felt that I just have to get on and do things and live the dreams that I want to live without being fearful any more.

“I think lockdown has made us all realise that. Life just changed so much, so I have to take every wonderful opportunity that comes my way, because it might never come my way again.”

Dancing on Ice have now confirmed that contestants will be putting on their skates next weekend as season 14 kicks off with a whole host of new stars.

Sally will be joined on the ice by – Love Island’s Liberty Poole, Happy Monday’s Bez, Paralympian Stef Reid, Rugby star Ben Foden, Pussycat Doll star Kimberly Wyatt, S Club 7’s Rachel Stevens, Strictly star Brendan Cole, presenter Ria Hebden, BMX silver medalist Kye Whyte and the Vamps bassist Connor Ball.

Dancing on Ice will air on Sunday 16 January at 6:30pm on ITV
