Some residents will certainly feel the pressure in Emmerdale next week as they soon realise that time is not on their side.
According to Emmerdale spoilers, serial killer Meena Jutla comes up with a plan to hopefully get Charles Anderson on her side.
However, things become complicated when Charles refuses to meet her in prison again after she confessed to the brutal murder of Andrea Tate.
Elsewhere, Rhona Goskirk is aware that she needs to tell her partner Marlon Dingle about Pierce Harris’ son Marcus sooner rather than later.
But when the truth finally comes out, will Marlon be able to forgive her?
Meanwhile, Marcus makes plans to leave the village which leaves an eager Ethan Anderson downhearted. Will he be able to stop him in time?
Meena’s final downfall
Time is ticking for Charles as he soon realises that he needs to get a move on with his plan to crack Meena’s confession as her plea hearing is fast approaching.
While visiting the criminal at the prison, Charles presses Meena to admit to her crimes but he is caught off guard when she definitively tells him she killed Andrea.
Hearing her spill the beans on her unlawful crimes and providing the gruesome details on Andrea’s murder, Charles struggles to hold it together.
Later on, back at the church, Charles is tortured by his meeting with Meena but after some wise words from Harriet Finch, the vicar decides to hold a support group to help the victims affected by Meena’s criminal activities.

When Liam Cavanagh agrees to join the support group, Charles is encouraged and is happy to proceed with his idea.
The following day, Charles speaks to Meena over the phone and informs her that he has no plans to visit her in prison again.
Angered by his refusal to show up, Meena bashes the phone receiver against the prison wall, knowing that her plan to manipulate Charles has been obstructed.
But how will Charles’ congregation feel when they find out that their local vicar has been communicating with the criminal.
Marcus ‘real’ identity exposed

Rhona is on edge as she knows she needs to disclose Marcus’ identity to Marlon relatively soon, however, things get more complicated when Marcus informs Rhona that Pierce has named her in his will.
But matters become even more awkward when Kim Tate stops by to speak with Rhona and learns of Marcus’s true identity, which leaves Rhona rattled.
The veterinary surgeon does her best to explain everything about Pierce and Marcus, but Kim is clearly in disbelief.
As Kim heads off Marlon enters confused, catching only some of the ladies’ heated conversation.
Backed into a corner Rhona finally comes clean to Marlon who is stunned by her admission.
Clearly upset Marlon leaves, needing time to digest everything that he’s just been told, but Rhona is devastated and begins to fear for their relationship.
The following day, Marlon tells his pal Paddy Dingle that he’s unsure if he’ll ever be able to forgive Rhona for not telling him the truth.
Later when Marlon and Rhona cross paths, things become tense and they exchange a war of words.
While the pair exchange words, Rhona takes her comments too far and insults Marlon’s ego and accuses him of victim-shaming her leaving her partner hurt.
Overseeing the heated conversation, Marcus pleads with Marlon to not take his anger over Pierce out on Rhona.
Will Marlon have a change of heart?
In an attempt to win her man back, Rhona later proposes to Marlon but will he accept her proposition.
Shock exit
Following Pierce’s will reading, Marcus doesn’t feel there is any need to hang around the village for much longer.
Regretful, Ethan suggests that they should meet up before Marcus decides to go but the offer isn’t accepted.
Ethan doesn’t let go of the idea and later attempts to secure another date with Marcus, but his propositions continue to fall flat.
The next day, Ethan’s mood is lifted when Rhona and Marlon both give him their approval in pursuing a relationship with Marcus.
But will he be able to get Marcus to change his mind before he decides to leave the Dales for good?
