BGT fans in hysterics as Ant McPartlin suffers awkward blunder during live ITV show

Ant McPartlin was in a spot of bother during Monday night’s Britain Got Talent after he got “stuck” in his chair.

To kick off the first semi-final live show, Ant and his co-presenter Declan Donnelly participated in a Moulin Rouge themed routine.

Coming down to the stage in a seated heart from the studio ceiling, Ant and Dec gave audiences a surprise.

But when it was time to stand on their feet, Ant struggled to do so and could be heard that he was stuck in his chair.

After a few brief seconds, the presenter emerged, however his awkward moment didn’t go unnoticed as he also took it upon himself to highlight that he was indeed stuck.

Seeing the dramatic scene unfold, fans couldn’t wait to jump on Twitter to share their thoughts on the hilarious incident.

One person joked: “Ant got stuck on the entrance hilarious.”

Another said: “Haha great start for Ant.”

Meanwhile a third penned: “Ant getting stuck in his chair,” followed by laughing emojis.

Ant and Dec have been hosting the popular ITV show since it first hit screens in 2007.

And according to recent reports the comical duo are believed to be considering an eye-watering £30million golden handcuffs deal that would tie them to ITV for three additional years.

This is currently beyond the remaining 12-months on their current contract.

Judge and BGT creator Simon Cowell, who has worked with the presenters for many years on shows including Pop Idol and Britain’s Got Talent, believes they too good to lose to rival channels like BBC and Channel 4.

Talking to The Mirror about the pair, Simon said: “I’d sign them up for ever. Ant and Dec are the best. There’s no question. There’s nobody like them.

“I’ve known them now for over 20 years. They really are fun, but their brilliance is understanding the audience of the show. They really relate to the audience and they haven’t changed at all. They’re very nice people,” the father-of-one gushed.

The music mogul also said Ant & Dec love the acts on BGT which is something he loves to see.
