BGT fans 'work out' The Phantom is ex-contestant after spotting giveaway VT clue

Britain’s Got Talent fans have been continuously baffled by one of this year’s acts who have never shown their face.

The Phantom is known for his magic and trickery, but has yet to reveal his or her identity to the audience.

They represent themselves as a vintage brown office chair and often call upon the judges to come up on stage and help them with their performance.

However, despite their best efforts and baffling tricks, they didn’t manage to win over the judges and dance troupe Five Star Boys landed a place in the semi finals.

The Phantom’s semi-finals performance received much scrutiny from audiences as they took to Twitter to talk about the act.

Many said that they were confused at the attempt which saw Amanda Holden “disappear” and then “read David Walliams’ mind”.

Audiences at home also said that the hard-to-follow show went on for too long and left them wondering why they had so much air time.

Since The Phantom’s departure, fans of Britain’s Got Talent have been racking their brains and trying to figure out who is behind the deceit.

During the show, Simon Cowell was visibly confused and stated that it was “pointless” while David tried to defend the magician, but to no avail.

Many viewers agreed with Cowell and turned to Twitter once more to complain about The Phantom.

An irritated fan had a lot to say: “Phantom messed up that act big time. Simon was right, it was never explained at the end.”

Another couldn’t seem to understand the reveal: “The Phantom’s act made no sense, there were loads of things left unfinished. I must be thick.”

A disgruntled viewer tweeted that it was “c***” and one even branded it “awful” as “nothing was explained properly”.

However, amidst all the confusion, some began to speculate as to the magician’s identity.

Over the weeks, many have wondered whether The Phantom has kept their identity hidden due to their already established fame.

One eagle eyed viewer thinks they’ve hit the jackpot: “The Phantom is definitely Marc Spelmann, who returned a couple years later as Magician X. I’m 100 percent sure of it.”

Another added: “”I love the phantom and i really think it is marc spelmann because it keeps relating to x.”

A third chipped in: “The phantom is X I’m so convinced, the delivery of this VT is just giving me Marc Spellman vibe.”
